_____________

Warning! This is not your everyday fall in love romance. This book contains disturbing situations, strong language, graphic, sexual content - some forced, some not. If it's a happily ever after love story that you are looking for, you should probably move on. If you are up for the ride, stick around and it may just turn into a love
story after all.

Book Review:

Oh My God if i had to read one more page of this book i was ready to go insane. You can only read about 150 pages that are actually good and don't just have random unnecessary things going on...I really was disappointed with this because i was expecting so much more.

I'm sorry to say but this is basically a copy of Consequences by Aleatha Romig which by the way is ten times better. The story follows the same exact lines. The characters have exactly the same personalities and overall this book just didn't work for me.

I could not stand Morgan or Riley or whatever she feels like calling herself. I didn't hated her from the beginning because in there she wasn't all bad and she was actually playing the role of a abused wife which i respected. But then she started the whole shit. First she plays the scared girl hidden from her ex husband that gets a new boyfriend ( a nice one) . Then she has an accident and loses her memory and her entire personality changes and she turned into this femme fatale that makes her abusive husband fall for her, then she goes and plays with the love of two man the rest of the fucking book. I COULD NOT STAND THE LAST PAGES! She could have been a great character but i just saw her as this Bitchy, conceited, arrogant and crazy woman that has no clue that other people have feelings as well.
What  the  hell  was  I  supposed  to  do  with  these  two men?  Most  women  would  be  flattered  to  have  two  men chasing after her, not me. Maybe had I not loved them both it could have been flattering, but it was agony.
Let's talk about a makeover.... Because Drew turned from a controlling son of a bitch to a laid back guy in about five pages. I admit that the way this author wrote Drew and made him into a demon was kind of really good written but damn she went a bit overboard... Because he's a sick sex addict. Like, a crazy one. And then in the end he tries to redeem all the six years he spent terrorizing Morgan and turns into this prince charming... Hell no.

Dawson was the only thing that could have been good about the book but even that was screwed over. He was played with during the whole story by Morgan (AKA Riley). Poor guy.

In my opinion this book isn't worth it... It's whole purpose it's to lead us to a secret that when we find out it's blah and it's just not good. I hate to give bad reviews but there isn't any alternative for Underestimated...

Scare Crow (Crow's Row, #2) by Julie Hockley Book Review

ebook, 284 pages
Published March 25th 2014 by iUniverse, Incorporated

more details... ISBN 1491726164

Nineteen-year-old Emily Sheppard is losing her sanity. Ever since her mob king boyfriend, Cameron Hillard, abandoned her for her own good, Emmy has been attempting to move on with her charmed college student life as if nothing happened. Now rejected from the underworld and left grieving over Cameron’s alleged death, Emmy realizes she belongs nowhere. Worse yet, she is now keeping a dangerous secret.

After just a short time with Emily, Cameron has lost control over his world. As he miserably attempts to return to what is left of his life and unravel the mess he has made of the underworld, Emily’s hate turns to desperation. She needs to kill the kingpins responsible for Cameron’s death before they come looking for her.

Scare Crow is a tale of revenge, terror, and love as Emmy and Cameron embark on separate journeys to face enemies, correct past mistakes, and find their way to their destinies.

Book Review:

There are few books that can actually take you inside the story. Julie Hockley absolutely nailed this second book and delivered a perfect story of desperation and sweet revenge. I am speechless because it's so much better than the first book and every single chapter got better and better. It was a lovely mix between the dark world of the Drug Lords with the simple strength of a girl seeking revenge.
Revenge feels a lot like survival. The need to hurt, the need to kill consumes you.  Except that when revenge turns to survival, hate is replaced by total desperation

You will be blown away with the development of this story I guarantee it! Because when you are finally saying that no more surprises can show up, they blow up in your face and leave you stunned. This story has everything to make it big. Now, Emily wants revenge against Victor and Spider and she will do anything to see them killed, even if it means getting involved with the mafia again. And Cameron is ready to blow the Underworld and go on a suicide mission to make sure Emily is protected for life. But what they don't expect is all the people that will get in the way and a sudden change in Emily's world (A Baby) that might lead her to have to quit her revenge.

There is just so much action and people getting killed and getting their revenge. It's AWESOME. Julie Hockley would never let us down by writing a boring book but she definitely did surprised me because she introduced so many backstabbers that deserved the death they got. Action. Action, Action until the very end.

Emily has definitely grown claws. If someone thinks this girl is useless, this book will make them think twice because she has connections and she's going to use them all. She's not just a rich kid or a helpless student. Be ready to see the fury that Emily has built inside of her come out. Mainly because she's Pregnant... Yes, i said pregnant... I say that it was a good thing that Cameron "died" because she definitely changed so much by not leaning on him and actually be able to protect herself from the Bad guys alone.

And then there is Griff (yes, hes back!!!) and Em will be kind of a bitch to him but i'm hoping she sees who's actually there for her and for MEatball as well. Because whilst Cameron was thinking he was protecting Emily, she was suffering more than she had too. ANd who was there for her? Griff. This loving guy that just lights up the whole book with his jokes and genuine love for Em.
The fact that I had fallen in love with his nemesis was killing Griff, like a bullet that lingered near his heart. The fact that I was pregnant with the child of his archenemy, the fact that I was bearing the seed of everything he hated, the fact that I still loved Cameron was enough to thrust the bullet to its final target
Okay, i never tough to change my opinion on the main male character before. But i did. And if i Loved Cameron in the first book. Now i despise him.  Everything he did and all the lies he told were completely unnecessary and he only managed to put Emily in more trouble than she was on before. And be ready because he will do so much stupid shit in here. He better redeem himself in the next book...

We finally get some personal intel from Carly, Spider and Bill. Hell's yeah. I am telling you now that Carly and Spider are going to have a bumpy road and the book shows them like we never seen them. With a vulnerability that's hard to describe. And Bill? Let me just say that some secrets are going to come out.

Scare Crow was one of the best book of 2014 so far. It's amazing to read and even though it's big you will read it in a blink of an eye. It's got action, love, suspense and a hell lot of betrayals.... It's perfect.

Nova and Quinton: No Regrets (Nova, #3) by Jessica Sorensen

Ebook, 384 pages
Published April 15th 2014 by Grand Central Publishing

more details... ISBN 145558276X

Today is the first day of Quinton Carter's new life. The toxic guilt of his past left him in pieces-but one girl unexpectedly put him back together. Thanks to Nova Reed, Quinton can finally see the world with clear eyes. She's the reason his heart is still kicking behind the jagged scar on his chest. And he would love to have her in his arms every minute of the day . . . but he's not ready yet.

Playing drums in a band and living with her best friends are just some of the highlights of Nova's life. But the best new development? Talking to Quinton on the phone each night. She wishes she could touch him, kiss him, though she knows he needs time to heal. Yet shocking news is on the way-a reminder of life's dark side-and Nova will need Quinton like he once needed her. Is he strong enough to take the final leap out of his broken past . . . and into Nova's heart?

Book Review:

Not my favorite book of the Nova series but it wasn't bad as well. I just couldn't bond with the characters the way the other books had me doing...  No Regrets lost a bit of it's uniqueness in my opinion and even introducing some interesting people and with major things happening the other books were just much better.
That's the one thing about perfection. It never lasts.  - You got that right Quinton...

Jessica Sorensen never let me down. Always with this energetic yet sad type of writing that led us to loving Nova and the guys. Don't get me wrong, No Regrets was amazingly written and had a story that was always changing and developing... but Nova kind of ruined it for me.

I think that Nova is just getting too goody too shoes.. Yes, she always was like that but now she's pushing the limits and after a few pages i could not stand her. She's just wants to help everyone and i get why, but DAMN GIRL... Care about YOURSELF more instead of always trying to help others. And stop being a fucking chicken when it comes to Tristan and Quinton, and Lea and everyone else in your like...

This book is all built around Quinton's recovery which i loved to see. His recovery will have it's bumps and it will be messy but it will lead us to meet amazing new characters that will help him, and care about him.... I loved that about this book. It really showed us the strength it took to get clean and never get back to doing that shit. Quinton kind of ROCKED!!! About his relationship with Nova, it was just too blah for me. Too pretty and too perfect for this kind of book.
I want to remember her. How good she was to me. How she made me feel alive, even when I fought it. How I'm pretty sure I love her, but I'm still trying to figure that out for sure, just like I'm trying to figure out everything else, like where I belong in this world and if I belong in this world.
Tristan is the one character that i wished to have seen way more because he's that amazing, but because of NOVA he was portrayed as this fragile puppy... I didn't liked that but oh well.

This book was good but if you go and compare it with Breaking Nova or Finding Quinton you'll have a bad time.

Take a Chance (Chance, #1) by Abbi Glines... Dumbstruck Book Review.

Kindle Edition, 256 pages
Published February 25th 2014 by Atria Books
ASIN: B00DPM7QDY

When Harlow Manning's rocker father goes on tour, he sends her to Rosemary Beach, Florida, to live with her half-sister, Nan. The problem: Nan despises her. Harlow has to keep her head down if she wants to get through the next nine months, which seems easy enough. Until gorgeous Grant Carter walks out of Nan's room in nothing but his boxer briefs.

Grant made a huge mistake getting involved with a girl with venom in her veins. He'd known about Nan's reputation, but still he couldn't resist her. Nothing makes him regret the fling more than meeting Harlow, who sends his pulse racing. Yet Harlow wants nothing to do with a guy who could fall for her wicked half-sister even if there are no strings between Grant and Nan. Grant is desperate to redeem himself in Harlow's eyes, but did he ruin his chances before he even met her?

Review:

I never liked Harlow that much. I never liked Grant that much as well. But the past is in the past. I fucking love these two now although Blaire and Rush are always going to be  my favorites. Take a Chance really did show me a new side to these characters. But i mean, It's a book by Abbi Glines... It had to make me fall in love. That's what she does.

Take a Chance is book that sustains the element of surprise until the very end. It's secret after secret which caught me by surprise. I loved it. Also, there is this mystery surrounding Harlow's Dad that will blow your freaking minds... Seriously, you will never guess it. I think I'M still dumbstruck.

Harlow is a feisty kitten. We see her as this closed off, innocent girl.... Screw that. She's got claws, sharp ones. We all knew that Nan was going to be a bitch and i was curious about how Harlow was going to defend herself... But this girl kicked some ass. She answered to Nan and defended herself like nobody would believe and finally put Nan in her place. Loved it.

You know why i never liked Grant? He was a puppy in Nan's hands. He did everything she told him to and basically acted as her bitch. I didn't liked that. Now? Hell, Crant is definitely a character that i love. He will learn how to love, how to protect Harlow the best way and stand up to Nan and of course he screw up a bit in the way, but oh well.

I warn you that the book doesn't have the best ending but  it's an opening for more amazing, mind blowing books that i bet Abbi Glines is writing right now! At least i'm hoping she is because i'm desperate.

Take a Chance is a surprising book that will leave you breathless. It's got out of this world sex and a story that's hard to forget. I was putting off reading the book, but no more. Grant and Harlow fit amazingly in Rosemary's Beach gang. <3
