Blood Games (The Chicagoland Vampires, #10) by Chloe Neill Book Review

Paperback, 350 pages
Published August 5th 2014 by NAL Trade
ISBN : 0451415205

While Merit didn’t choose to become a vampire or Sentinel of Cadogan House, she vowed to fight for her House and its Master, and she’s managed to forge strong alliances with powerful supernaturals across Chicago. But even though Merit has had wild adventures, this may be her deadliest yet...

A killer is stalking Chicago, preying on humans and leaving his victims with magical souvenirs. The CPD hasn’t been able to track the assailant, and as the body count rises, the city is running out of options. Vampires and humans aren’t on great terms, but murder makes for strange bedfellows. Can Merit find the killer before she becomes a target?

Book Review:

Oh sweet baby Jesus has finally heard my prayers and gave me this book. By baby Jesus of course i mean Chloe Neill, but you know... Blood Games is everything Chicagoland Vampires always been. Terrifying. Mean. BAdass and Purely Entertaining. But this time it's game ON for the GP...
“Oh, they’ll try to sweep,” I said. “But I have no worries you’ll come back to me.”
His smile was meltingly handsome. “Because I love you without measure?”
“Of course,” I said.
Also, I had the car keys.

PREPARE YOURSELF to be WOWED. We are talking about a SERIAL KILLER. And one that could easily be on Dexter.... Yap, now the streets of Chicago are screwed because a killer is on the loose and the VAmpires are fighting for a King or Queen. *happy dance*

Ethan... I missed the blond god that can rip your head off just by looking at you. In Blood Games Ethan has so much more too loose due to be in the competition for the head of the GP. Does he let it affect it? Of course no. And yes people, he will be continuing fake proposing to Merit and to us as well. It's like : IT'S GONNA HAPPEN!!! (Building expectation) - SHIT IT DIDN'T HAPPEN. (Completely crushed our souls). Oh well. But still Chloe Neill does not let this book get too romancy and shit... It's still dangerous as fuck. And prepare because the last page of this book screwed Ethan Over...

Merit + Food + Ethan = FOREVER. Merit is still the same fanatic by food she always was but in Blood Games she's more serious in a way... (well, as serious as Merit can get). She's has to face with the real struggles of her relationship with Mallory and getting their friendship back together. With Jonah as well and in holding Ethan from breaking his face. And finally, with Ethan that keeps hiding stuff from her. Let's just say that Merit cannot get any better than this... Because she's goooooood.
We slept together, our arms and legs and bodies entwined, as if we might save each other .
And we forgot completely about the crème brûlée.
MAllory and Catcher are two that really surprised me because there is a part in the book that you get to see them like never before. Catcher is always so intense and Mallory so cheery and now we can really see that... There is this chapter that is going to blow your minds!!! Oh what a wonderful couple...

Yeah, we got competition!!! Heads will roll with the GP Competitions - Literally...

Yap do i need to say that my life depends on this books? Probably not. THAT'S HOW GOOD THEY ARE. Now we just have to wait for another book... again.

Until...

One morning, you hear a second voice on the radio, this one with a message that has you packing a few meager supplies into a duffel bag and driving off across a desolate landscape. The journey that follows will present a seemingly endless variety of dangers: zombies, mutant berserkers, and your fellow human beings among them.

Whether or not you live long enough to reach your destination depends solely on the choices you make. One bad decision could get you killed.

With any luck, you just might find the One Way Out and...

Book Review:

This book is one hell of a mindfuck. I have been trying for over a week to find the way out but guess what? If Zombies invaded our world i would die pretty quickly. Escape from Zombie planet only has ONE way out... And all of the other ones? A Painful death.

This story is so awesome, with numerous ways for you to die and to get caught by those zombies. Everything happens so fast that you don't even got time to realise.... that you are dead again. I loved this book so much but i had to give up because i was going crazy.

Ray Wallace is pretty cool if you ask me. He created the perfect apocalyptic world perfect for those who like a bit of danger thrown in their faces... Loved it.

Only With You (The Best Mistake, #1) by Lauren Layne Book Review.

ebook, 260 pages
Expected publication: July 29th 2014 by Forever
ISBN: 1455546089

Love is the Biggest Gamble of All . . .

Cocktail waitress Sophie Dalton doesn't exactly have a life plan. She's perfectly happy being everyone's favorite party girl. But when a Las Vegas bachelorette party goes awry and an uptight businessman mistakes Sophie for a prostitute . . . well, Sophie wonders if it's time to reevaluate her priorities. Swearing off her thigh-high boots for good, Sophie slinks back home with damaged pride-and a jackpot of a hangover.

Yet what happens in Vegas doesn't always stay there. On a trip to Seattle to open a new office, Grayson Wyatt meets his latest employee-who turns out to be the same woman he recently called a hooker. Wealthy and gorgeous, Gray is a man used to getting what he wants. And it doesn't take long to figure out that smart, sassy, sexy Sophie is everything he's been looking for. As their late nights at the office turn into hot morning-afters, they realize their Vegas misunderstanding may lead to the real thing . .

Book Review:

I haven't had any time to read any books this month and whenever i DO get a few minutes this book has been my go-to choice. It's funny, sassy, dangerous and has a load of awkward situations that will lead to the most amazing moments.

For a little resume: We have Sophie and Gray that meet on a very strange situation in Vegas. He mistakes her for a whore and she thinks he's an asshole. A few weeks later they meet again in a family dinner... SHOCKER!! And then their life's get mixed up and it's world war III. PRETTY GOOD if you ask me!
“Christ,” he muttered under his breath. “Of all the days, and of all the women.”
Sophie stiffened at the scorn in his tone. “Oh, I’m sorry, would there be a more convenient time to get stuck in an elevator? Or a more preferable woman? A mute nun, perhaps?”
He didn’t answer. Which was answer enough.
First off we have Gray... Yes like the color. He's so uptight. Angry with the world and downright nasty sometimes... Well, he just needs to get laid. I loved him. He was a character that we can see evolving and we can see the motives of why he's like this with Sophie and with everyone. He had his heart broken and vowed to never let anyone else play with him again... Until Sophie comes along.

Sophie is a wild spirit that sometimes goes a little overboard. When she gets confused with a whore she has a moment of clarity and rethinks her goals in life... Then she quits and gets a new job. Working for Gray. Sophie was completely addicting. Her personality was so strong and always in your FACE!! You will love Sophie, it's impossible not to.
But on the other hand, the man made her uncomfortable.
And angry.
And, most annoying of all, he made her feel a little…tingly.
These two rocked this book with their intense fightings and heated nights. But there was another coupled in here... One that will get their book very soon. William and Brynn... CAN'T WAIT. This too are a timebomb and after a heated one night fling, their book will be hell.

Confessions Of A Redneck Zombie Killing Psycho by L. R. Currell - Book Review!!

Paperback, 107 pages
Published July 1st 2013 by Createspace

more details...ISBN: 1490532137

Three weary travelers, the last in their group are heading towards Mexico. After the outbreak they heard it was a safe place and are determined to make a life for themselves there.

Stressed, bloody and exhausted the three stumble upon a back woods cabin in the middle of nowhere. There is Buck, an aspiring cage fighter and his beautiful fiance Denny. Buck's sister Tammy completes the ensemble from a clan that used to number over a dozen.

The remains of the fleeing family desperately need rest and the cabin that the Taylor brothers hold out in seems the safest place they have been in months. Fighting off zombies daily has taken its toll on the three travelers and the reluctant hospitality the brothers offer is a Godsend.

Buck soon realizes though that all is not as it seems as the brothers start playing mind games with the group and continue to delay their departure.

Is he just being paranoid? Or were they safer on the road with the zombies?

Book Review:

I love Zombie Kickass stories and this one was no different but it was soooo short! The story, the plot, the characters were super well written and well thought-out to create an amazing story filled with different personalities and twisted situations...

I never read anything by L. R. Currell but i'm definitely keeping my eye open for this author that wrote this disgusting zombie book that i really liked!

Buck, Denny and Tammy can be sooo stupid and beware because you'll feel like slapping them at times but they are also badass so it was no biggie... I hated Denny because she was a spoiled bitch but then she picks up a gun and all hell breaks loose and she turns into this zombie killing machine. Then there is Tammy (The one that i actually liked the whole book) and she is awesome as well and super careful... And Then Buck, the cage fighter and amazing protector of the group.

These three will walk straight into hell when they find two brothers in a house that offer them food and shelter... (Dubious? Yap!) and they turn out to be twisted fucks (as expected). But that was a great addition to turn this story into something even more fucked up. Loved it.

For someone who likes zombies, awesome characters and gruesome stories that won't take much time of your day this book is definitely right!

Dirty Angels (Dirty Angels, #1) by Karina Halle Book Review... I F**** Heart This so badly!!

Kindle Edition, 309 pages
Published June 15th 2014 by Metal Blonde Books

For Luisa Chavez, a twenty-three year old former beauty queen, a better life has always been just out of her reach. Sure, she’s had men at her feet since she was a young teenager but she’s never had the one thing she’s craved – security. Having grown up in near poverty, her waitressing job in Cabo San Lucas can barely let her take care of herself, let alone her ailing parents.

When Salvador Reyes, the depraved leader of a major Mexican cartel, takes an interest in her, Luisa is presented with an opportunity she can’t afford to pass up. She’ll become Salvador’s wife and exchange her freedom and body for a life of riches – riches she can bestow upon her deserving parents. But Luisa quickly finds out that even the finest wines and jewels can’t undo the ugliness in her marriage, nor the never-ending violence that threatens her every move.

Soon, Luisa is looking for an escape, a way out of the carefully controlled life she’s leading. She finally gets her wish in the worst way possible.

As it is, being the wife of Salvador makes her an ideal target for rival cartels and there’s one particular man who needs Luisa as part of his cartel’s expansion. One particular man whose quest for power has destroyed lives, slit throats and gotten him out of an American prison. One particular man who will stop at nothing until he gets what he wants.

That man is Javier Bernal. And he wants Luisa. He wants to take her, keep her, ruin her.

Unless she ruins him first.

Book Review!!

I was so mad when Javier got arrested in Bold Tricks and how much  of a bitch Ellie could be to him. So when i saw that javier was going to get a second chance i was soooo happy. Seriously, i was counting the days until this book came out. And OH MY SWEET GOD! This book is better than chocolate cake and pizza mixed together!

The story will wow you from the very beginning and it will leave you breathless until the last chapter. It's full of twists and turns to make you dizzy and to never let you get bored. Because in between the hot scenes between Javier and Luisa and the desire for revenge that Luisa has against Salvador, it's absolutely maddening.... and i freaking loved it! It's filled with accelerating action, torture and weapons. What more could you ask for?

I cannot tell you how much i love Karina Halle's type of writing because it's so full with passion and so exciting and that it's what makes this book memorable. Even more so than The Artist Trilogy for sure!!

Remember the Javier that went to jail in America? Now, he's out of prison and he wants to make his cartel bigger and stronger... He wants to rule the underworld and for that he has to take down Salvador. It's not going to be easy but he's willing to give all he's got in order to make that happen! And let me tell you that Javier went up on the sexy scale like a million times more, because now he's even more of a badass than he's ever been. He's cocky, arrogant and downright sinful.
And that’s when I knew, with nothing but a smile, my Luisa, my queen, had broken me.

Luisa is the girl that is used to being mistreated by Salvador and when she finally gets the courage to escape she gets caught by Javier (Tough luck she has.) , which takes a liking to her because she refuses to be broken by anyone and she's a survivor! And then the romance begins. This romance is way better than Ellie and Javier ever were, let me tell you.... It's more carnal, more lustful and so much more passionate.
They could try and carve me up, they could rape me, torture me, try and confuse me with hospitality, but they would not get to me. They would not break my soul. They would not see my pain.

Luisa and Javier make the perfect couple. She has the darkness inside of her to help him rule and he has a heart of steal that he's willing to give her. I think Karina Halle managed perfection with these two...
“Why do you want to break me so badly?” she asked quietly, just as my hand went to the doorknob.
I paused and thought about the truth. Without looking back at her I said, “Because I want to destroy beautiful things before they can destroy me.”
Dirty Angels is a memorable book that will take you places you never been before. Definitely a must read for the summer!

Midnight Play (The Blue Dynasty, #2) by Lisa Marie Perry BOOK REVIEW TIME!!!

Paperback, 224 pages
Published June 17th 2014 by Harlequin Kimani

Love evens the score

As general manager of the Las Vegas Slayers, Danica Blue goes toe-to-toe with players whose size is matched only by their egos. Quarterback Dex Harper is the biggest and toughest of them all, with a hell-raiser reputation that he insists he doesn't deserve. And Danica, the good daughter who's always played by the rules, is suddenly tempted to break every last one.

Football is the only thing Dex has ever been able to count on. To save his career he needs Danica's PR savvy, and he's happy to help her discover her inner bad girl in return. But glimpsing the real woman behind that sexy, flawless facade is making him realize how much is at stake. Because getting back on the team could mean losing Danica, unless he's willing to risk it all—and play for keeps….

"What a beautiful lie."
I was approached by this awesome author named Lisa Marie to review her new book Midnight Play and let me tell you that this book kept me awake throughout the night until it was done! The book starts off right away with this taunting sentence that gets stuck in your head for the whole story and it's absolutely fantastic!

Danica is the girl that no one messes with. A loyal but cold looking to those who do not know her. Does she care? Hell no. She cares about her career, her sisters and in doing the best job that she can... so i loved when sudden Dex comes along and challenges her and pushes her farther than she ever thought she could go!!!! I loved her from the first page on because you see immediately that even having recently got divorced, Danica wants to have something real, someone to love. She's amazing...
Inside, the marble floors echoed as Danica Blue marched—anyone who knew her knew she didn’t simply walk or strut or glide, but instead marched—to her destination within the grand hotel.
Dex is an assshole! But a fantastic, handsome and amazing asshole. I loved this guy so badly. He is so sexy and in the beginning when you think that he's only going to be a normal and boring manwhore, he starts talking and you see a side of him that just blows your mind. Then he says the most lovable things ever for a guy and just won over my heart in a heartbeat.... The reason why he's an asshole is just because when he opens his mouth you are not supposed to like him but you can't really help it!!!
He’d sworn to himself that he wouldn’t get drawn into touching her, or being the first to make contact tonight. “Danica, I miss you in ways a good girl like you might not want to hear.”
“I may be small, but I’m not fragile or afraid. Words are only words. They don’t shock me.”
“Which is what you want—to be shocked.”

It's like a thug of war between Danica and Dex because they are both so strong minded and tired of being alone that they get complete when they're together.... It's not supposed to be cute but damn i can't resist!!  Lisa Marie managed to create such a strong bond between them that with every word you see them falling in love. Yes, there are some pretty cliché situations between them but  that won't even bother ...

Midnight Play is definitely a must read for this summer!!!

Finding My Prince Charming (Finding My Prince Charming, #1) by J.S Cooper - Book Review

Published May 27th 2014

Can a Playboy Prince ever be tamed?

When Lola Franklin decided to study abroad she never anticipated embarking on a whirlwind weekend romance with a hot guy before classes started.

And she certainly never counted on the hot guy being her new professor. Or a Prince. Or the biggest asshole she had ever met.

Xavier Van Romerius is the playboy Prince of Europe and he loves his life. He doesn’t do relationships, and never wants to get married. But when he see’s Lola Franklin flirting with his little brother Casper, he realizes that maybe he needs to rethink his ideas about love before the wrong Prince gets the girl.

Book Review:

Isn't this cover so amazing??? Hells Yes! I'm in the middle of a breakdown because this Prince is everything but charming... He's an asshole! But kind of an addictive asshole! The kind that you hate and love at the same time.

I can't form an exact opinion of this book because i feel like i have to read the second one in order to understand the characters and even the story well. Finding My Prince Charming will not please everyone because it's definitely rushed and very light. It's just a book about a girl (Lola) that falls in love with a manwhore who happens to be a prince and a Prince (Xavier) who falls in love with the wrong girl for him. And then add Xavier's brother (which is much nicer by the way), Sebastian, and you have this funny, romantic book with a lot of drama.
His lips twitched and my eyes narrowed.
" Excuse me? "
"For what am I excusing you? "
"You' re a pig".
" Is that higher up or lower than an ass? "
I really liked Lola but damn she could be stupid! I mean can she even say no, once? Nope. From the start she's the focused student that doesn't do nothing wrong and then she has a one night stand with Xavier, who happens to be her teacher as well... YAY!! Then he starts to make her life miserable and at the same time seducing her head off! And even calling her a slut once or twice doesn't get her to hate him one bit!!  And then Sebastian comes into the big picture and Xavier gets jealous but tries not to show it. So she's the type of character that contradicts herself a lot but with a guy like that i think everyone else would too.

Xavier... Is someone like him even allowed to become a prince? I guess. This author created the most hated and loved guy and the least eligible for a charming title ever!! But we get to see his side a few times and i just think that he's scared of caring for Lola too much because he knows that his lifestyle can ruin her... Though I seriously think he's a prick, by the way he finished this book but i really have to read the next one to see if he can redeem himself.
I wanted to pull her into my arms and ask her if she missed me. Instead, I told her I needed to talk to her about being my assistant. I needed a reason to talk to her that didn't show her how eager I was to spend more one-on-one time with her. I was Xavier, Prince of Romerius. I could have any girl I wanted. I wasn't sprung on her. Hell, no!
I cannot wait to read Taming My Prince Charming and see Lola teaching Xavier a lesson!!!

Taint by S.L Jennings - Book Review!! Is it just me or it's getting hot in here?

Right now, you’re probably asking yourself two things:
Who am I?
And, what the hell are you doing here?

Let’s start with the most obvious question, shall we?

You’re here, ladies, because you can’t f*ck.

Oh, stop it. Don’t cringe. No one under the age of 80 clutches their pearls.
You might as well get used to it, because for the next six weeks, you’re going to hear that word a lot. And you’re going to say it a lot.
Go ahead, try it out on your tongue.
F*ck. F***ck.

For those of you that have been sent here by your husband or significant other, dry your tears and get over it. You’ve been given a gift, ladies.  You have the opportunity to f*ck like a porn star. And I guarantee, you will when I’m done with you.

And who am I?

Well, for the next six weeks, I will be your lover, your teacher, your best friend, and your worst enemy. Your every-f*cking-thing. I’m the one who is going to save your relationship and your sex life.

I am Justice Drake.
And I turn housewives into whores.

Book Review:

Taint! Devious cover. Hot blurb. And a promise of an out of this world book. S.L Jennings definitely knows how to build expectation because i was jumping on my seat until i got this in my hands. And OH LORD, S.L Jennings you have ruined me because i can't get this book out of my head.

If you think this story is going to be just focused on sex the whole entire time you're partially correct. It has a lot of sex talk. A lot of wild, crazy  hot situations that will drive you mad. Justice is the guy that seduces you just with his look. Definitely not suited for the easily offended! Not that i care. I say -Read it and Enjoy it!

Justice is the biggest secret there is because you literally know nothing of him until the last pages and when you do it's a mindblown... He's so intense all the time which really does fit the sex teacher part really well.

I knew that it was going to have some romance but i wasn't expecting it to becomes such a large part of the story. And sadly, the only thing i didn't liked about the story was the girl Justice fell in love with. Allison. I could not like her one bit. She was clueless, spoiled, irritating and had an annoying relationship with questions... Not to mention that all of the moments between her and Justice were damn cute... TOO CUTE! This Book ain't cute so it can't have cute!!  And she was one of those girls that can't decide themselves. - Now i want Justice. Now i'm married. Now i'll play with his mind a little bit. - For a girl that was sent to him to learn the art of sex she sure knows it pretty well.

Let me tell you that everyone who reads this book will devour it! It's addicting and sinful and Oh so Sexy! Good Job S.L Jennings!!!

Hothouse Flower (Calloway Sisters, #2) by Krista & Becca Ritchie... Warning: Long - Kick Ass - Review!!!

Published March 28th 2014

ISBN 0989339262

Twenty-five-year-old Ryke Meadows knows he’s hard to love. With a billion-dollar inheritance, a track-star resume, and an alpha-male personality—he redefines the term likable asshole. But he’s not living to make friends. Or enemies. He just wants to free climb three of the toughest mountains in Yosemite without drama or interruption.

And then he receives a distressed call from a girl in Paris—a girl that he has never been allowed to have.

Daisy Calloway is eighteen. Finally. With her newfound independence, she can say goodbye to her overbearing mother and continue her modeling career. Next stop, Paris. Fashion Week begins with a bang, and Daisy uncovers the ugly reality of the industry. She wants to prove to her family that she can live on her own, but when everything spirals out of control, she turns to Ryke to keep her secrets.

As Daisy struggles to make sense of this new world and her freedom, she pushes the limits and fearlessly rides the edge. Ryke knows there’s deep hurt beneath every impulsive action. He must keep up with Daisy, and if he lets her go, her favorite motto—“live as if you’ll die today”—may just come true.

Book Review:

This was nothing short of brilliant. Hothouse Flower finally gave us the story we all have been waiting for. Daisy and Ryke and their forbidden love. But she's all grown up now so the "forbidden" part is going out the window... I cannot explain how hot this book is!

Everyone of the six are messed up. We already saw what is going on with Connor and Rose and with Lo and LIlly. Now it's time for Daisy and Ryke. Daisy is a eighteen year old which family scandals led her to hit rock bottom and Ryke has a mother who betrayed him and is in love with someone he cannot have. This is just begging for trouble!
I'm raw.
I'm hard.
I'm the thing you shy away from.
So I'm warning you now. Back away.
Because once you enter my life, I wonâ't ever let you leave.
Ryke is so intense all the time and doesn't like to leave anything unsaid. He's fierce and determined with his career and in letting no one harming the girl he adores. He's a character that has a lot give yet and that we cannot grow tired of... I admired to see his dedication to Daisy and in making sure he never lied to his brother and always supported him. We also see him trying to come to terms with what's going on with his father being accused of mistreating Lo and if he will defend him or accuse him as everyone else. And his relationship with Daisy... Let's just say that intense doesn't begin to explain it. And there will be a lot of mindblowing sex in bikes, rooms, hospital beds and etc...
There's no way I'm with her out of circumstance.
We chose this because nothing else felt right.
Nothing else felt as good.
Our greatest happiness has always been with each other.

This is a book that will open Daisy's eyes and make her go after what she truly wants and we already knew that it wasn't fashion. I loved this girl from day one... Her impulsiveness and her wildness. She's awesome but she also depressed since that photographer entered her room and since her friends turned on her. So we see her in some really low points that only Ryke can help with. There is also a new side of Daisy that we never seen. The sadness that she carries. She's never wants to bother people with her problems and she was always fine with that but now we see how she would really react to not letting her problems out. Daisy is definitely a character that will always surprise us and makes us laugh with lame pick up lanes and provocative t-shirts.
Ryke Meadows has invigorated my body and soul.
He is more than just my pillow.
My wolf.
My bodyguard.
He's my everything.
Yes!! LIlly and LO! You will not believe the bumpy road ahead of Lilly and LO. It's sad one minute with Lo's relapsing and drinking and happy the next when they are together... Yes, unfortunately we will see Lo relapsing because of all the tabloids stating that he was abused by his father, but also get to see that he has all the support in the world to help him get through it. And Lilly?. She has a secret this time that blows up in the last chapters... But you have to read it to believe it!

Rose and Connor are on fire. They maintain this fight throughout the whole book to see who's the last man standing and it's freaking adorable. I know that they should not be described as adorable, but they are. In this book Rose is moody as hell because of another secret and she and Lo are going to explode sooner or later, so just wait for it... And Connor is more humble than never!!! NOT. Love. Love. Love the chemistry between these two and all the changes Hothouse Flower will bring them.
"Not according to the smartest guy in the goddamn room."
"The world" Connor corrects him, hiding his anger from my brother. "Being smarter than the three of you really isn't that big of an achievement." He pauses. "No offense."
"I'm fucking offended," I retort.
"Oh, sorry," he says flatly. "I don't really care about your feelings."
Lo shoots us a look. "Now's not the time for you both to go at it."
Oh parents... Always screwing up thinking about what's best for your kids... If Samantha was real i was going to kill that woman!! And what i really loved? Greg and Jonathan are going to shine a bit and actually prove that they are good guys... AS hard as it seems, Jonathan will redeem himself a little.

Hothouse Flower is a dream. A wonderfull dream filled with Bumpy Roads, Motorcycle rides, Tents and Hotel Rooms, Fights and Sex that will blow our minds. It's reckless and intense and so amazing.

Connor has to find a way to protect Rose without ruining the show. Or else the producer will get what Connor has always wanted—Rose’s virginity.

Book Review:

CAN THIS BOOK BE MORE PERFECT? Hells NO! First Things first... When i saw the "Her love life is about to be Reality TV" i was like: You're shitting me. This is going to be SWEET! No way i envisioned Rose Calloway and Connor making reality TV mainly because they were too smart for that... But did it work? YES! This book has all the components of addiction: Hot sex, Dominant Alpha Males and Smartass Attitudes that will make cursing look like child's play... Be aware.
People hope to touch the sky.
I dream of kissing it.

I loved the Addicted series but Krista & Becca Ritchie took it up a notch with Kiss the Sky. It has all the elements and characters of the previous books all stuck in a house where we will get to see them in their worse... But out of that pressure that they will have to endure it will make all the love and friendship they share be seen really up close. I don't know how these writers did it but they created six characters with personalities rivaling a thunderstorm that happen to get along... Most of the times.

Let's start with Rose, our main girl. From the beginning she has her TAG as "VIRGIN". She ain't afraid of admitting it and Connor is going to change that and give us a little surprise... We are so used to see Rose in charge and dictating things that when she becomes a submissive in the bedroom (yes submissive) we will see Rose as we never seen before. More delicate, more vulnerable and even more lovable. But don't get me wrong because Rose will never lose the competitive spark that we love her for. And in this book she will have her life thrown upside down with her business growing, scandals blowing and really nasty people making her life difficult with each chapter. But Sex with Connor kind of makes up for that...

Connor always liked to win but now it a full out battle with Rose about who gets to be in charge in the bedroom. I always liked Connor but the book never gave us really personal intel on him which never let me figure him out. Kiss the Sky will let us see the vulnerable side of Connor. We will see him mad, happy and very in love.
I had no one before Rose. No true friends. No family, not really.
Now I have her. I have people I care about it. People that I want to protect.
Now I have everything.
The only thing about having everything is that you can lose it all.
Lo and Lilly had to be a must in the book and i'm so happy to see that their addictions are easier for them to handle now. They are more happy and just enjoying being with each other. But they will still get their ups and downs mainly because they'll have cameras following them everywhere they go and people sabotaging their recovery...

I am so curious to see where the chemistry between Daisy and Ryke will lead them... I can totally see them as a couple and screw the age difference!!! The are so protective of each other and it's so endearing the way they talk, the way the share looks... And i really want to see Ryke fall in love like a puppy. Muahahah.

Kiss the Sky it's unexpected and so refreshing. It's a wonderful job by two amazing writers that have successfully won over my heart.

Underestimated (Underestimated, #1) by Jettie Woodruff --- Book Review --- (Mild Spoiler Alerts)

Kindle Edition, 1st edition, 535 pages
Published June 26th 2013 by Jettie Woodruf

Morgan starts her life in a bad situation; she doesn't really know what she wants out of life. She's never had anyone to look up to or help guide her in the right direction. She had it rough and never dreamed that it could get worse. However, she finds that it can and it does.

She learns what real hell is when she meets the husband that she doesn't want to marry but isn't given a choice.

Warning! This is not your everyday fall in love romance. This book contains disturbing situations, strong language, graphic, sexual content - some forced, some not. If it's a happily ever after love story that you are looking for, you should probably move on. If you are up for the ride, stick around and it may just turn into a love
story after all.

Book Review:

Oh My God if i had to read one more page of this book i was ready to go insane. You can only read about 150 pages that are actually good and don't just have random unnecessary things going on...I really was disappointed with this because i was expecting so much more.

I'm sorry to say but this is basically a copy of Consequences by Aleatha Romig which by the way is ten times better. The story follows the same exact lines. The characters have exactly the same personalities and overall this book just didn't work for me.

I could not stand Morgan or Riley or whatever she feels like calling herself. I didn't hated her from the beginning because in there she wasn't all bad and she was actually playing the role of a abused wife which i respected. But then she started the whole shit. First she plays the scared girl hidden from her ex husband that gets a new boyfriend ( a nice one) . Then she has an accident and loses her memory and her entire personality changes and she turned into this femme fatale that makes her abusive husband fall for her, then she goes and plays with the love of two man the rest of the fucking book. I COULD NOT STAND THE LAST PAGES! She could have been a great character but i just saw her as this Bitchy, conceited, arrogant and crazy woman that has no clue that other people have feelings as well.
What  the  hell  was  I  supposed  to  do  with  these  two men?  Most  women  would  be  flattered  to  have  two  men chasing after her, not me. Maybe had I not loved them both it could have been flattering, but it was agony.
Let's talk about a makeover.... Because Drew turned from a controlling son of a bitch to a laid back guy in about five pages. I admit that the way this author wrote Drew and made him into a demon was kind of really good written but damn she went a bit overboard... Because he's a sick sex addict. Like, a crazy one. And then in the end he tries to redeem all the six years he spent terrorizing Morgan and turns into this prince charming... Hell no.

Dawson was the only thing that could have been good about the book but even that was screwed over. He was played with during the whole story by Morgan (AKA Riley). Poor guy.

In my opinion this book isn't worth it... It's whole purpose it's to lead us to a secret that when we find out it's blah and it's just not good. I hate to give bad reviews but there isn't any alternative for Underestimated...

Scare Crow (Crow's Row, #2) by Julie Hockley Book Review

ebook, 284 pages
Published March 25th 2014 by iUniverse, Incorporated

more details... ISBN 1491726164

Nineteen-year-old Emily Sheppard is losing her sanity. Ever since her mob king boyfriend, Cameron Hillard, abandoned her for her own good, Emmy has been attempting to move on with her charmed college student life as if nothing happened. Now rejected from the underworld and left grieving over Cameron’s alleged death, Emmy realizes she belongs nowhere. Worse yet, she is now keeping a dangerous secret.

After just a short time with Emily, Cameron has lost control over his world. As he miserably attempts to return to what is left of his life and unravel the mess he has made of the underworld, Emily’s hate turns to desperation. She needs to kill the kingpins responsible for Cameron’s death before they come looking for her.

Scare Crow is a tale of revenge, terror, and love as Emmy and Cameron embark on separate journeys to face enemies, correct past mistakes, and find their way to their destinies.

Book Review:

There are few books that can actually take you inside the story. Julie Hockley absolutely nailed this second book and delivered a perfect story of desperation and sweet revenge. I am speechless because it's so much better than the first book and every single chapter got better and better. It was a lovely mix between the dark world of the Drug Lords with the simple strength of a girl seeking revenge.
Revenge feels a lot like survival. The need to hurt, the need to kill consumes you.  Except that when revenge turns to survival, hate is replaced by total desperation

You will be blown away with the development of this story I guarantee it! Because when you are finally saying that no more surprises can show up, they blow up in your face and leave you stunned. This story has everything to make it big. Now, Emily wants revenge against Victor and Spider and she will do anything to see them killed, even if it means getting involved with the mafia again. And Cameron is ready to blow the Underworld and go on a suicide mission to make sure Emily is protected for life. But what they don't expect is all the people that will get in the way and a sudden change in Emily's world (A Baby) that might lead her to have to quit her revenge.

There is just so much action and people getting killed and getting their revenge. It's AWESOME. Julie Hockley would never let us down by writing a boring book but she definitely did surprised me because she introduced so many backstabbers that deserved the death they got. Action. Action, Action until the very end.

Emily has definitely grown claws. If someone thinks this girl is useless, this book will make them think twice because she has connections and she's going to use them all. She's not just a rich kid or a helpless student. Be ready to see the fury that Emily has built inside of her come out. Mainly because she's Pregnant... Yes, i said pregnant... I say that it was a good thing that Cameron "died" because she definitely changed so much by not leaning on him and actually be able to protect herself from the Bad guys alone.

And then there is Griff (yes, hes back!!!) and Em will be kind of a bitch to him but i'm hoping she sees who's actually there for her and for MEatball as well. Because whilst Cameron was thinking he was protecting Emily, she was suffering more than she had too. ANd who was there for her? Griff. This loving guy that just lights up the whole book with his jokes and genuine love for Em.
The fact that I had fallen in love with his nemesis was killing Griff, like a bullet that lingered near his heart. The fact that I was pregnant with the child of his archenemy, the fact that I was bearing the seed of everything he hated, the fact that I still loved Cameron was enough to thrust the bullet to its final target
Okay, i never tough to change my opinion on the main male character before. But i did. And if i Loved Cameron in the first book. Now i despise him.  Everything he did and all the lies he told were completely unnecessary and he only managed to put Emily in more trouble than she was on before. And be ready because he will do so much stupid shit in here. He better redeem himself in the next book...

We finally get some personal intel from Carly, Spider and Bill. Hell's yeah. I am telling you now that Carly and Spider are going to have a bumpy road and the book shows them like we never seen them. With a vulnerability that's hard to describe. And Bill? Let me just say that some secrets are going to come out.

Scare Crow was one of the best book of 2014 so far. It's amazing to read and even though it's big you will read it in a blink of an eye. It's got action, love, suspense and a hell lot of betrayals.... It's perfect.

Nova and Quinton: No Regrets (Nova, #3) by Jessica Sorensen

Ebook, 384 pages
Published April 15th 2014 by Grand Central Publishing

more details... ISBN 145558276X

Today is the first day of Quinton Carter's new life. The toxic guilt of his past left him in pieces-but one girl unexpectedly put him back together. Thanks to Nova Reed, Quinton can finally see the world with clear eyes. She's the reason his heart is still kicking behind the jagged scar on his chest. And he would love to have her in his arms every minute of the day . . . but he's not ready yet.

Playing drums in a band and living with her best friends are just some of the highlights of Nova's life. But the best new development? Talking to Quinton on the phone each night. She wishes she could touch him, kiss him, though she knows he needs time to heal. Yet shocking news is on the way-a reminder of life's dark side-and Nova will need Quinton like he once needed her. Is he strong enough to take the final leap out of his broken past . . . and into Nova's heart?

Book Review:

Not my favorite book of the Nova series but it wasn't bad as well. I just couldn't bond with the characters the way the other books had me doing...  No Regrets lost a bit of it's uniqueness in my opinion and even introducing some interesting people and with major things happening the other books were just much better.
That's the one thing about perfection. It never lasts.  - You got that right Quinton...

Jessica Sorensen never let me down. Always with this energetic yet sad type of writing that led us to loving Nova and the guys. Don't get me wrong, No Regrets was amazingly written and had a story that was always changing and developing... but Nova kind of ruined it for me.

I think that Nova is just getting too goody too shoes.. Yes, she always was like that but now she's pushing the limits and after a few pages i could not stand her. She's just wants to help everyone and i get why, but DAMN GIRL... Care about YOURSELF more instead of always trying to help others. And stop being a fucking chicken when it comes to Tristan and Quinton, and Lea and everyone else in your like...

This book is all built around Quinton's recovery which i loved to see. His recovery will have it's bumps and it will be messy but it will lead us to meet amazing new characters that will help him, and care about him.... I loved that about this book. It really showed us the strength it took to get clean and never get back to doing that shit. Quinton kind of ROCKED!!! About his relationship with Nova, it was just too blah for me. Too pretty and too perfect for this kind of book.
I want to remember her. How good she was to me. How she made me feel alive, even when I fought it. How I'm pretty sure I love her, but I'm still trying to figure that out for sure, just like I'm trying to figure out everything else, like where I belong in this world and if I belong in this world.
Tristan is the one character that i wished to have seen way more because he's that amazing, but because of NOVA he was portrayed as this fragile puppy... I didn't liked that but oh well.

This book was good but if you go and compare it with Breaking Nova or Finding Quinton you'll have a bad time.

Take a Chance (Chance, #1) by Abbi Glines... Dumbstruck Book Review.

Kindle Edition, 256 pages
Published February 25th 2014 by Atria Books

When Harlow Manning's rocker father goes on tour, he sends her to Rosemary Beach, Florida, to live with her half-sister, Nan. The problem: Nan despises her. Harlow has to keep her head down if she wants to get through the next nine months, which seems easy enough. Until gorgeous Grant Carter walks out of Nan's room in nothing but his boxer briefs.

Grant made a huge mistake getting involved with a girl with venom in her veins. He'd known about Nan's reputation, but still he couldn't resist her. Nothing makes him regret the fling more than meeting Harlow, who sends his pulse racing. Yet Harlow wants nothing to do with a guy who could fall for her wicked half-sister even if there are no strings between Grant and Nan. Grant is desperate to redeem himself in Harlow's eyes, but did he ruin his chances before he even met her?

I never liked Harlow that much. I never liked Grant that much as well. But the past is in the past. I fucking love these two now although Blaire and Rush are always going to be  my favorites. Take a Chance really did show me a new side to these characters. But i mean, It's a book by Abbi Glines... It had to make me fall in love. That's what she does.

Take a Chance is book that sustains the element of surprise until the very end. It's secret after secret which caught me by surprise. I loved it. Also, there is this mystery surrounding Harlow's Dad that will blow your freaking minds... Seriously, you will never guess it. I think I'M still dumbstruck.

Harlow is a feisty kitten. We see her as this closed off, innocent girl.... Screw that. She's got claws, sharp ones. We all knew that Nan was going to be a bitch and i was curious about how Harlow was going to defend herself... But this girl kicked some ass. She answered to Nan and defended herself like nobody would believe and finally put Nan in her place. Loved it.

You know why i never liked Grant? He was a puppy in Nan's hands. He did everything she told him to and basically acted as her bitch. I didn't liked that. Now? Hell, Crant is definitely a character that i love. He will learn how to love, how to protect Harlow the best way and stand up to Nan and of course he screw up a bit in the way, but oh well.

I warn you that the book doesn't have the best ending but  it's an opening for more amazing, mind blowing books that i bet Abbi Glines is writing right now! At least i'm hoping she is because i'm desperate.

Take a Chance is a surprising book that will leave you breathless. It's got out of this world sex and a story that's hard to forget. I was putting off reading the book, but no more. Grant and Harlow fit amazingly in Rosemary's Beach gang. <3

Aftershock (Afterburn & Aftershock, #2) by Sylvia Day Review...

ebook, 116 pages
Published March 11th 2014 by Cosmo Red Hot Reads from Harlequin

ISBN 1459245997

When it came to playing games, my lover Jax was a master strategist. He pulled strings behind the closed doors of D.C.’s most powerful political players, and somehow still found time to nearly sideline my career. What he didn’t know was that when I didn’t like the rules, I threw them out and made my own. I wasn’t going to let Jax get away with it. I wasn’t going to let him get away at all.

I loved Jax enough that it was impossible to give up. Jax loved me enough that giving up was the only end he’d consider. He didn’t think I could swim with the sharks. It was entirely my pleasure to show him that I’d already dived in…

Book Review:

Jax and Gia are such an addicting couple, so intense and passionate and constantly fighting. And oh my, the way Jax says "Gia, baby..."... I could die of an heart attack right there! If you haven't read the first book, get to it! And if you did, i assure you that this one tops Afterburn by a mile!

“Tell me you love me, Jax.”
There was a moment of silence. “Loving each other isn't our problem.”
He hung up, leaving me holding on to an empty connection. As usual.
Afterburn didn't end on easy terms between these two and the blurb in Aftershock suggests an heavy revenge from Gia and hot controlling games between them... Well, we didn't get the revenge (sort of) but we got the sexy games!!! No wonder this is on the top of Cosmo Red Hot reads. It's soooo hot! And there is nothing better in the winter than this... It's like Sylvia Day just throws at our faces the chemistry between Jax and Gia and makes us watch while the relationship and the problems slowly start to blow up and then heal back together. It's a painful journey but it's damn good when you get to the end of Aftershock.
Still, I was honest and told him, “Being with you makes me feel lonely. It reminds me that I want to find someone to be steady in my life. Someone I can depend on.”
“I wish I was that guy,” he said quietly.
“Yeah. Me, too.”
Jax is even more controlling but much more of a man. He now knows exactly what he wants from Gia and what kind of future he wants with her. It's quite endearing watching this guy give himself fully to the girl he loves. And if before he was a prick and even avoided and tried to end their relationship for her best, now he doesn't  give a fuck and actually fights to be HER BEST. And Gia? Well, she was always my gal' but she's so much more likable now. Expect her to screw up a lot but that screw up is going to be in favor of getting Jax to herself permanently.
“I am the big bad wolf, baby,” he growled. “You want to be with me? You want to be my girlfriend? You want to go to parties with me...events...have dinner with the family?”
“Yes!” I lifted onto my tiptoes. “I’m sick of being your booty call, Jax. You’ve got dozens of women for that. I deserve better!”
Sylvia Day just wrote another masterpiece with 116 pages where we just love the characters and Want to be them. And seeing as this is the last book.. I say the end was Fucking Perfect!

Pretty Little Things by Teresa Mummert Book Review. CRAZY IN LOVE!!

Published March 11th 2014 by Teresa Mummert
ISBN13: 9781491291412

I was young enough not to understand that my life was different. Colin became the one person that I could count on to protect me. He suffered for the both of us by carrying the burden of our secret.

We were the lucky few that got a chance to start over. A fake family, a new home and a pretty little life built on lies. But while our lives continued to intertwine, we were put on very different paths. Now it was only a matter of time before they collide and the beast behind the beauty is exposed.

Book Review:

Pretty little Things is that dark book that you just need to have in your hands. The cover is Beautiful and the Author is one of the best. Not to mention the blurb that just leaves you guessing and guessing. The book had everything to be amazing and it didn't let me down.
I wanted the anger, the control, and questionable morals. I wanted it all now, and it was killing me to fight against it, but she was worth the struggle.

The story revolves around Colin and Annie. Annie was put put in a religious cult with a fanatic (Colin's Dad) that used to steal girls that looked like her and kill them. Seriously, just this tiny part screams Teresa Mummert!! And then as Colin's dad made him hurt Annie they bolted the place and told everything to the police. Now they are on the run from the guy. The story is SICK! Super messed up and really dark but so exciting to read...
You can continue to pretend that our life before we moved here was all just a bad dream. I wish I had that luxury. But I know exactly what happens to girls like you who think they are invincible.”
“Yeah? What’s that?” she challenged.
“I prove them wrong.”

I cannot explain how much i adored this book. It's sick, twisted and super sad.

Colin is a bad guy that thinks he's all twisted inside because he likes to inflict pain and turns into a controlling monsters at times and Annie is the young girl that is all too sweet... These two together definitely make an awesome couple. They start as brother and sister but right from the start you see their chemistry and how much they depend on each other to live after all they have been through. Colin starts as an asshole (And ends the book as one as well) but it gets better with time. Annie is the character that really developed and went from a kid to a girl that defends and loves. And when these two finally start to get along... My, My it's Hot!
To say Colin was overprotective of me was an understatement, but he was equally annoyed by my presence, which made dealing with him a constant game of Russian roulette.

Teresa Mummert wowed me yet again with a miniature book that will brand itself into my mind... Pretty Little Things ends up as a big Drama/Action book with romance that will take you to your knees.

Killer Frost (Mythos Academy, #6) by Jennifer Estep Book Review. Last Book In the Series!!! Prepare to Freak Out!!!

ebook, 384 pages
Published February 25th 2014 by Kensington Books

ISBN: 0758281544

I've battled the Reapers of Chaos before–and survived. But this time I have a Bad, Bad Feeling it’s going to be a fight to the death … most likely mine.

Yeah, I've got my psychometry magic, my talking sword, Vic–and even the most dangerous Spartan on campus at my side, in Logan freaking Quinn, but I’m no match for Loki, the evil Norse god of chaos. I may be Nike’s Champion, but at heart, I’m still just Gwen Frost, that weird Gypsy girl everyone at school loves to gossip about.

Then someone I love is put in more danger than ever before, and something inside me snaps. This time, Loki and his Reapers are going down for good … or I am.

Book Review:

Oh My Goddess. It's always such a bittersweet feeling when series that you've read over the years and characters that you lived through the books say their goodbyes. It's sad even if it ends with a Kick ass freaking book like Killer Frost. This was the ULTIMATE ENDING and the very best to the Mythos Academy.

ACTION AND MORE ACTION is the word that describes this last book in the series. Amazing, All Out battles that will make Gwen and her friends face a God "Loki" and pissed off Reapers that will do anything to kill them slowly. Everyone that we've met so far is going to come forward to help and statues that we've wanted to meet are going to make an appearance. There will be Numerous situations where loyalty will be tested and friendships will be put at risk. And Things that will take Logan and Gwen's relationship to another level and actually make them fight for each other. Vivid scenes and epic battles that will transport you right into the book! It was Perfect!
“Reapers,” Vic said in a low, bloodthirsty voice. “Finally, finally, some Reapers to kill. What are you waiting for, Gwen? Charge! Charge! Charge!”
I knew exactly how he felt. “With pleasure,” I muttered back to him.
Yesss! You know all the riddles and artifact that we had no idea how they were going to turn out? All of that will be revealed and it will prove that Jennifer Estep's mind is Out of This World... All of the tiny things that made no sense will come together in order to help Gwen and her friends win!

Gwen, my lovely Gwen. Finally this girl can take a deep breath and relax... This book is a rocky road for her and her relationship with the Spartan and it will push her to her limits. But this is the Gwen we love, the Gwen we've seen so far and can't get enough of. The fighter and the one that never quits! She was amazing in here and this book elevated Gwen that i though was strong already to another level where she just blows our little minds away.

Logan, Daphne, Carson, Nickamedes and Grandma Frost's are the key elements that made this book so unique and the story so memorable. In here they fought, they bleed but they all conquered. And they all showed a side of themselves that i never expected to see. In the battles they've kept together and they all played such an important part in all the different aspects of the story that we cannot forget about them, even if we try.

I guess that Jennifer really did save the best for last! Killer Frost will leave you with a teary eyed look but also with a sense of pride, because this characters that you've seen grown over the years will have their ending (Some good and some Bads) but in the end it was all just as it should be and everything fell into place. Jennifer Estep promised and gave us the Best Book In The Series That We Could Ask For!
