Wrecked (Wrecked, #1) by Priscilla West. Last 2013 Book Review!!!

Published in December 11th 2013 by Blackbird Publishing
EBook, 286 pages.
ISBN13: 9781494244385

Two years ago, Lorrie’s mother was murdered. But that wasn’t the end of it. Reeling from the tragedy, Lorrie’s father spiraled into alcohol, depression, and finally suicide.

The two most important people in Lorrie’s life are both gone but she’s still alive.
Trying to recover from the tragedy, Lorrie returns to campus, ready to pick up the pieces of her life. All Lorrie wants is to get back to “normal.”

Then she meets Hunter. The man, the legend, “the Hammer.”
Hunter is a cage fighter who takes on every fight like he’s got nothing to lose. His life is a tangled mess of girls, booze, and fist fights. And while it may seem like he’s got a devil-may-care attitude, he’s fighting a private cage-match with a monster he can’t defeat.

Lorrie knows that Hunter is the exact type of guy she should stay away from, especially in her fragile state, but Hunter has other ideas. As Hunter and Lorrie grow closer together, will they be able to overcome their pain and heal each other? Or will they both end up wrecked?

Book Review:

This book is a bunch of What the Fuck's... Good and Bad. I was really excited to be able to read it because it looked somewhat similar to Beautiful Disaster by Jamie McGuire but with it's own twist so I was setting my hopes really high. I mean, what could go wrong with sweaty, hot guys in a closed space filled with testosterone? I guess I wasn't expecting it to be nothing bellow awesome. It was a good book.

It tricked me... The book is still good but there is a lot unanswered, a lot that's pointless and the characters seem to have a bipolar issue. One second they are okay and agreeing to be "friends" and the next they are arguing because they're jealous. It's confusing and not in a good way. The main couple was just too cliché. She falls into the lake and he rescues her... Then he lends her clothes and takes her into his apartment... Then she runs with his trashcan and his clothes. (You need to read to believe it.) They did have their funny moments but the tension between them could have been better exposed and slowly gathered instead of just POW!

Lorrie is cool one moment than cold the next and I really can't figure her out because I found myself going back and forth with her. She lost her parents so in the beginning she has to be grieving but the thing that annoyed me was that in the moment that she met Hunter every problem she had suddenly vanished... It was like it never happened. And she annoyed me as well because instead of talking things trough when something happened she just ignored it and got mad for no apparent reason... She's really unstable and complicated and I feel like the book evolves around her too much instead of also going for Hunter, Daniele and even Gary or the kittens.
The last thing I needed was a bad boy who thought he had something up on me trying to get into my pants. Especially if I started letting him. My emotional state was fragile enough as it was.
Hunter is really cute I have to admit it, but sometimes that was the only thing he was... Just cute. I think that the book could have given more substance to his character instead of labeling him a Manwhore and writing about a character we all seen before...Besides, this is supposed to be a fighting book with an MMA guy but we only get to see two fights and that's IT! He has so much more to offer because he's kind and rough at the same time and always puts everyone in front of himself even though he has a life threatening problem to deal with. He's selfless and a really great guy but rare were the moments when he had the spotlight to be himself.   He was my favorite guy by far!
“I like you,” I admitted. “I really do. You’re this lovable goofball that also happens to be a badass MMA fighter. Or maybe it’s the other way around, I don’t know. You’re almost too good to be true . . .”
Daniele is like the perfect friend in the whole wide world. It's unreal... They don't get mad, they don't do basically nothing else but gossiping about hunter and Lorrie... I get that that's the subject of the book but to not lose it's interest they should add a few arguments or other subjects.

I love Gary and the Kittens... Seriously, all of them won my heart. Gary because he wasn't afraid to speak his mind to Hunter and Lorrie and the Kittens because they were beyond cute.

Overall the book is pretty good and has it's ups and downs but I am hoping that Rescued is far better and gives this characters more spice.

Needing Her by Molly McAdams. --- Book Review! ---

Published December 23rd 2013 by William Morrow Impulse
336 pages
ISBN: 0062300113

She’s the Girl Next Door

Maci Price isn’t really into relationships. Having four very protective older brothers has always made having a boyfriend very difficult, anyway. But her friend is set on finding her the perfect guy – and thinks the mysterious Connor Green is the perfect pick.

He’s Her Brother’s Best Friend
Connor Green is trying to find himself again. He loved then lost and it’s time for him to pick up the pieces. His brooding is making his friends crazy, but, Maci Price, who has grown up into a gorgeous and incredibly sexy woman, is about to break the spell.

They’re Made for Each Other

When Maci starts up old pranks to get Connor out of his slump, an all out war leads to a night that will break all their rules, and a relationship they must keep hidden. Together they’re electric. Apart they’re safe. And soon they’ll find they’re exactly what the other needs.
 Book Review:
I didn't know how much I needed this book until I started reading it and realized that it was really amazing! This book is so entertaining with Maci's Older Brothers bringing the trouble to her boyfriends and Maci telling them go to hell, and then Connor starting to get feelings for Maci but keeping his mouth shut until he can't do it no more. Yap, spectacular and full of humor.

This is an easy book with a fast paced story and not full of strong emotions that will leave you overwhelmed. It's plain but in a great way because THAT works with the type of story Molly McAdams is trying to tell us. I loved how everything evolved fast and didn't went awfully slowly with everything happening at it's place.  And if at first you may think that you've seen this story before and that it will be boring, think twice because Molly and her crazy ideas changed the whole set and gave it an exciting feel.
I liked Maci so much because this girl is a badass, people! She's got the read hair going on, the piercing and a few tattoos and cusses like a sailor... she's edgy and funny and full of personality. One of the things I also liked about this girl was her ability to sometimes act like a kid but in a good way because it gave us really funny scenes and even cuter moments. She's a girl that's used to people asking her to change how she looks to a more "normal" look and the only person that will accept her how she really is is Connor.  I am surprised at how easily she would handle her brothers because if it was me I would have freaked out by now at how overprotective they are! Well, she kind of freaked at them but still remained calm... I wonder how?
I was done pretending that he didn’t matter, and that I didn’t care. And I was ready for anything and everything with him.
Connor could be as much of a kid as Maci and that's why they worked out so well.  This guy has a tough story behind him that he wasn't that willing to share until the very ending which bummed me out because that  side of him should be more approached. He's Hot! And he pranks Maci all the time which is pretty cool as well... and makes them perfect for each other. I loved him, he's like the male model to all of the main male characters out there because he accepts our girl just the way she is, supports her and annoys the fuck out of her...
I wanted feisty. I wanted obnoxious. I wanted stubborn. I wanted Maci . . . needed her.

The Brothers annoyed the hell out of me but had me laughing non-stop as well... Seriously, why can't Maci have a boyfriend? They're beyond obsessive... I loved them. They were definitely a funny way to bring tension into the book!
“Why are you so interested in knowing my life all of a sudden?”
“Because we all agree you’re being sketchy lately, and I’m about to go pound some dude’s face in for touching my sister! Who is he, Mini?”
Shitfuck. “Who is who?”
“The guy I’m about to kill, who are you fuckin’ around with?”
“You have a boyfriend, Maci?” Dakota asked as he rounded the corner into my office. “Oh, fuck this. Who is he?”
Needing Her is the cutest, more annoying book ever! I loved reading it and laughing my ass of with it. Molly definitely made an awesome job!

Sempre (Forever, #1) by J.M. Darhower. Mafia Book Review.

Published in January 29th 2013 by CreateSpace
530 Pages
ISBN: 1456527738

Haven Antonelli and Carmine DeMarco had vastly different childhoods. Haven, a second-generation slave, grew up isolated in the middle of the desert, her days full of hard work and terrifying abuse. Carmine, born into a wealthy Mafia family, lived a life of privilege, never having to answer for anything he did.

Both now seventeen, a twist of fate causes their worlds to collide, making them question everything they ever believed. Entangled in a web of secrets and lies, they learn that while different on the surface, they have more in common than anyone would think
 Book Review:
Mafia books? Count me in! Forbidden romances? Hell yes... Lies after Lies mixing up in a intriguing story? You bet ya.  Sempre is a pure Badass that will get your head spinning with all of the twists and turns and truths... I loved it! It's full of deadly action, dry humor and cussing... definitely my type of book.

I really enjoyed this. The way the characters evolved and got to know each other and how they interacted due to their different past and education. I mean, we have Haven that's been a slave all of her life and deprived of the minimal things we take for granted and we have Carmine that is a spoiled troublemaker that cares only about starting troubles, and the only thing that they have in common is one big secret surrounding their mothers and the big mafia patrons... This is Big!

Sempre is a beautifully constructed book where everything appears in it's place just at the perfect timing... People who appear friends will turn on you and sometimes who appear foe will turn friend. It's a whole turn of events. There was just one thing that kept me from reading the book in one siting and had me taking several breaks... The book had too much unnecessary information and scenes, it jumped weeks at time and sometimes some chapters were there basically for nothing. I can even say that it was boring when there was just a  chapter on Carmine's bullshit and angriness or about how Haven was adjusting.

Carmine is someone we really have to learn to like because at the start he basically only cares about himself and gets into trouble. I was like: Oh no... But then he started to get to know Haven and started caring about her, always without losing the edginess he always caries. And I admit that I kind of liked him a lot because he couldn't finish a sentence without cussing... It was really funny. He has a really important tittle. He's the Principe of the Mafia, and since he was little many of his dad's co-workers expect him to go into the business but his father always tried to keep him out. So from here it forces him to have to face his future and make decisions that right or not are his to make. But Carmine never let us down in this book!
Scooting closer, his body pressed against hers as he brought his lips to her ear. “Ti amo tantissimo, mia bella ragazza.”
“Just because some people see us that way doesn’t mean it’s what we are. We’ll overcome our labels together. They don’t matter; they don’t make us who we are. We make us who we are. Fuck those motherfuckers.”
She laughed. “When did you get so smart?”
“Baby, I’ve always been smart,” he said playfully. “I’m just lazy as hell and rarely show it.”

Haven was really difficult to get to know as well. She was a slave and she was used to having nothing until one day Dr.DeMarco bought her and took her in into his house where people started treating her like she was worth something after all. And that really made a different to that scared little girl. Most of the book we have her trying to learn how to live free and how to adapt. But that doesn't truly starts until she and Carmine start to get along which I though to be a bit bad because she is really dependent of him as a character. I didn't really liked her until the last part of the book because she was blah... Nothing special. But in the last part that girl showed what she was capable of and started talking more and saying what she was feeling, being mad and arguing and not letting people boss her around. THAT was an awesome Haven!
I’m surprised she hasn’t started cursing yet from hearing me.”
“Oh, but she has,” Vincent said. “I overheard her.”
Carmine turned to Haven. “What did you say?” She didn’t respond, and he sighed. “Come on, you can say it. Was it fuck? Because I say fuck a lot. Motherfucker? Shit? Asshole?”
“I think that’s plenty,” Vincent said, pinching the bridge of his nose. “The word doesn’t matter, but if you insist on knowing, she said ‘damn’.”
“Oh, just damn? Not even goddamn?”
I want a book for Dominique! He's a great character that helped so much in the whole book. Him and Tess definitely deserved some main scenes! I AM SO MAD for Nicholas's ending!  He did not deserved that! He always tried to help Haven, was always adorable and took so much shit from everybody and even turned friends with carmine again and then that HAPPENS? NO!
Carmine started to pull her away when Nicholas’s voice called out. “Knock, knock.”
Feeling guilty, she looked at him once more. “Who’s there?” Carmine stopped moving, not amused.
“Tank,” Nicholas said.
“Tank who?” She got it the moment the words rolled from her lips. Tank Who; Thank You.
Nicholas smiled. “You’re welcome, Haven.”
Dr.DeMarco was one of the character that I loved from the beginning even thought he's troubled as hell. But he's also loyal to no one but his family and that's something that you don't see much in this book.  I want to see much more of him!

Sempre is a book that will make a difference in the way you view honor and allegiance. It's perfect.

World After (Penryn & the End of Days, #2) by Susan Ee. Out of This world Book Review...

Published November 19th 2013 by Skyscape
314 Pages

In this sequel to the bestselling fantasy thriller, Angelfall, the survivors of the angel apocalypse begin to scrape back together what's left of the modern world.

When a group of people capture Penryn's sister Paige, thinking she's a monster, the situation ends in a massacre. Paige disappears. Humans are terrified. Mom is heartbroken.

Penryn drives through the streets of San Francisco looking for Paige. Why are the streets so empty? Where is everybody? Her search leads her into the heart of the angels' secret plans where she catches a glimpse of their motivations, and learns the horrifying extent to which the angels are willing to go.

Meanwhile, Raffe hunts for his wings. Without them, he can't rejoin the angels, can't take his rightful place as one of their leaders. When faced with recapturing his wings or helping Penryn survive, which will he choose?
Book Review:

I am so in love with this book... World After is ten times better than Angelfall and not to mention this cover with the demon wings, which is a millions times prettier! Susan Ee really did surprised me with this in a really good way, she managed to put more creepiness and gore, action and Angel weirdness to form a really amazing book that really stands out from all those Paranormal/Dystopian books out there...

Anyone else amazed about the progress of this story?  It's so much more developed with more details and things to keep you interested until the very end. The fighting's between Angels, Scorpions and Humans are surreal and described perfectly to make you feel like you're inside the book. The moments of despair that Penryn feels about her sister and the doubt and hurt about her mother are all there. And also all the moments between Raffe and Penryn that you can just feel the sexual tension and the need they have for each other to not be alone... Seriously, this book was a MindBlown.
Raffe doesn't show up for the first part of the book which was really annoying me but the author kept us interested anyhow due to his sword, that replayed memories of Raffe's life into Penryn's head. His battles, his fierceness and bravery and as an exception she even showed us how Raffe started to see Penryn as more than a little human and started to look for comfort in her. It was genius strike and made me like Raffe so much more!  We all know that he has lost his White Angel wings to Beliel and now carries demon ones that are just as beautiful but in a more hard way. This is really going to put this boy down and make him fight even harder to destroy Beliel and get his wings back... Which means Awesome fights!!!!! Yay!!!! Also one f the things I was dying to see was what Raffe would do when he learned that Penryn was alive, because the last thing he knows was that the scorpions killed her... You can guess that it will be really cute when they finally see each other again and he realizes that he didn't really lost her.
“You’re not Fallen, are you?” The question pops out of my mouth before my head can censor it.
“From everything I’ve heard, that would just make me more sexy to you Daughters of Men.” He finishes taping the last bit of the blanket. “What is it that you all see in bad boys?”
“I’m asking the questions here, Raffe. This is serious.”
Even though it's the end of the world Penryn didn't lost her sense of humor and had me laughing throughout the entire book. She's got Raffe's sword now!! And as we know every sword has to have a name!! You seriously have to read the book to see the hilarious things she will do to the poor sword! This girl is a bad ass and definitely knows how to fight dirty which is awesome because you can really expect for her to have some pretty sweet moves in World After... She's so much more careful about herself, she's more cunning but still the reckless girl we love and she will do anything to help Raffe and save her sister.
“I’m gonna be sick,” I say.
“I’m ordering you not to,” says Obi.
“Ah, don’t say that,” says Dee-Dum. “She’s a born rebel. She’ll puke just to make a point.”
I am so sad to see Paige as she is now. She is braver yes, but she's also a bit broken due to what those suckers and Beliel did to her. But you now what? Nobody can call her a monster because her heart and the lengths she will go to save her family is the most human thing I can thing of. PAIGE RULES!! We finally see that Penryn's mother craziness kind of has a point... KIND OF! Because she's still Awful to Penryn and to everyone else...
In my training, I’ve been hit, punched, kicked, shoved, slammed, and choked by all kinds of opponents. But nothing hurts as much as a slap from your mom.
Beliel is going to get what he deserves don't worry!! This guy is going to party all throughout the book thinking he won the fight with Raffe already, but he's going to be surprised when it isn't Raffe that ends him... I have to admit that there were time when I kind of liked him but then he always managed to ruin that likeness... He's truly and asshole.
Beliel was right. He is unloved and unwanted.
The resistance has only two decent people in it... And they are know as Dee and Dum. They have a blast at stealing people, making fun of everything that comes they way and simply taking life as a big fat joke. Loved it. Definitely a breath of fresh hair in the end of the world...
World After is going to make you submit to the world of Angels versus Humans because just when you are about to give up this book manages to always find a way to fight for a bit longer... It's crazy, it's Wild and it's amazing. READ IT!!

Quintessentially Q (Monsters in the Dark, #2) by Pepper Winters. Book Review + Quotes

Published December 13th 2013 by Createspace
376 pages
ISBN: 1492305413

“All my life, I battled with the knowledge I was twisted… fucked up to want something so deliciously dark—wrong on so many levels. But then slave fifty-eight entered my world. Hissing, fighting, with a core of iron, she showed me an existence where two wrongs make a right."

Tess is Q’s completely. Q is Tess’s irrevocably. But now, they must learn the boundaries of their unconventional relationship, while Tess seeks vengeance on the men who sold her. Q made a blood-oath to deliver their corpses at Tess’s feet, and that’s just what he’ll do.

He may be a monster, but he’s Tess’s monster.

Book Review:

Warning: Whatever I say in this Review is not going to do justice to this book! And if you have a weak heart you may want to abstain from reading the book.
Monsters in The Dark is an spectacular series by Pepper Williams, that manage to provoke emotion after emotion in each page. It tells a story of desperation and revenge and even portrays many truths that aren't ready to be admitted. I  couldn't find a more realistic, a more truthful and shocking book if I tried.
The world didn’t matter. This was us. This was our fuckedupness learning how to live without guilt and shame.
Quintessentially Q is the accumulation of everything and it's where we see the characters that we learn to care for reaching their breaking point and be forced to live through the worst circumstances. It's literally a kick in the butt for them. But all ended well and there will be another book "TWISTED TOGETHER" to finalize their happy ending which has me giggling and anxious. Damn you, Pepper Williams for writing this amazing books and to make us dependent of them... damn you! (Just kidding.... I may have a girl crush on the author though... just saying!!)
This book starts with the new life of Tess and Q as a couple!! (I was expecting this for so long) They start out very reticent with each other without fully trusting, but then Tess is once again going to be taken by her previous captors.... (I know it's scary!!!) And in the previous book they were pretty pissed at her so in here they will try to break her and damage her mind the best way they can. Meanwhile we'll get Q desperately trying to find her and doing everything he can including killing if necessary (and it will be) and whilst he's doing this he's realizing how much he cares for her and how much he's grown dependent of her strength and fierceness.
Just from this you just know it's going to be a heartbreaking book... and it was! It was maybe the worst book I ever had to read because some of the situations Tess is going to be exposed to, are just vile and wrong! It's even worst than Tears of Tess.  I love that Pepper Williams can describe so truthfully a character's emotions and situations but in here I had to take breaks to be able to read what was going to happen next. I was fearing the next page after page because I knew that Tess and Q could break at any moment and just give up, and the author really did gave us that feeling of desperation because it was so well written! It's beautiful the way she can write and create a story but let me tell you that there will be tears involved in here...
I love Tess. I love her character, I love that she's unbreakable and that she's fierce and strong after everything. In here this is all going to be threatened to fade because she will want to give up, she's going to fall and go through the worst circumstances but I always had a bit of hope that the old Tess would prevail and win that fight. And she did, but for a moment there she almost gave up and that moment is unforgettable in the book because I literally held my breath and just went banana's on everything.  Tess is also going to gain a monster in her, they are going to turn her and break her into a twisted version of herself which is also really hard to see but with the help of Q she's going to go trough it like the warrior she's always been...
Q wanted me, Q would protect me, and eventually Q would love me.
Me, the girl with nothing but a broken mind.
At the start Q doesn't know what's love because it's not love yet that he feels for Tess it's more of a need. But you will see him change throughout the book and go through so many battles with his inner monster to learn that he loves fiercely and deeply the girl he saved and that changed him beyond repair. Then we have him almost loosing control when Tess is taken away from him and there we will see true love, only then he will show us what he's willing to do to have his wild bird back and to give her his heart. This book changed Q and challenged him nearly breaking him in the process. I was stunned that Q could change so much in  one single book, but he did and the author wrote about it in a rather genius way. A gradual but fast change that will shock us but makes us love him as a person even more. There is no composed, beautiful business man anymore... it's more of a desperate, lonely and in constant battle man that's going to get more than he's read for.
I loved her with everything I was. “Je t'aime,” I whispered, kissing her back.
Suzette is spectacular and her support is really what keeps Tess and Q sane and what keeps our hearts from breaking every time something happens. She's always there with her advices even though she's been throughout so many bad things as well, she's going to be a confider and a friend to both Q and Tess what was really important in their finding the middle ground of their relationship. I really want to see her getting a happy ending as well... Frederick is also like a male version of Suzette...  but only for Q and just a bit for Tess which made me love him a bunch as well, because he's one of the rare good guys.
Only when I’d expended my angst-riddled energy did Suzette move closer and do something I would never have allowed before. She hugged me. Her tiny arms wrapped around my waist, squeezing tight, reminding me I was human and not a monster after all.
I want to burn the rapists, kidnappers,  evil doctors and everyone that's part of trafficking women and just break them all over again (because Q is going to do a damn good job at it, but it's still not enough!!). They are vile and disgusting for everything that they do to girls like Tess and Suzette in here. It's awful and they deserve to be condemned to live everything the girls lived over and over again... Damn, Pepper really did made me hate those fuckers!! Ugh...
I Both hate and Love this book. It's awesome and perfect and everything good you can think of with great characters and an unbelievable story, but it's so dark that's impossible to read it in one sitting. So I dare anyone that likes strong emotions to try it and read it because you are going to love it!!

Elect (Eagle Elite, #2) by Rachel Van Dyken -- Book Review with LOTS OF QUOTES! --

Published in December 10th 2013 by Forever
256 pages
ISBN: 1455554227

Would you die for the one you love?

Nixon Abandonato made his choice. And now he has to pay the price. Tracey is the love of his life, but being with him has made her a target of his family's enemies. The only way to keep Trace alive is convince the world she means nothing to him.
Trace Rooks has fallen irrevocably in love with the son of her family's sworn rival, and she knows in her bones nothing can tear them apart. Until Nix suddenly pushes her away and into the arms of his best friend... But Trace isn't ready to give up on a future with Nix--and if he won't fight for them, she will.

In the end, a sacrifice must be made. A life for a life. For what better way to cover a multitude of sins than with the blood of a sinner . .
Book Review:
YES! YES! YES! Elect was the BEST! I could not get my hands off this and I am kind of obsessing over Rachel's books right now... There is no words to explain how good the story was. A book where The Godfather and all it's seriousness meets a super funny comedy!  But in Elect there are much more surprises, much more drama, more gun shootings and much more hearts being broken...
This story gave so many mini heart attacks and I promise you that you'll never get bored while reading this. It's impossible. There is always something that will make you want to react, either that will make you cry, that will make you mad or that makes you laugh non-stop. This book Is far better than Elite because it just has much more story behind it and it pushes the characters to their limits whilst adding more action and suspense.
Nixon is a dead man! He will pull so many stuns in here and even be willing to sacrifice himself and his feelings for Trace just to give her an opportunity to be happy. Even if it means throwing her into Chase's arms... and he will do that loads of times. But he does all of this without loosing his trademark personality... if you know what I mean! He's still grumpy, he's still mad at the world and he's still talking about murdering someone like he's asking about dinner. But we love him that way. This book definitely gave us a new perspective to this guy who only let us see his tough exterior, and we got to see more of his past and childhood and dig deeper into his thoughts to really understand him as the Mafia Boss and the sacrifices he has to do in order to be the best Boss.
But if I was protecting her? If I was saving her life by driving her into another man’s arms? Would that redeem me in the end? Or just damn us all to hell?
" She loves you? Fine. Because, Chase. It’s never been about my wants or my needs. I can’t live if she’s unhappy. I can’t breathe if she’s upset. If being with you brings her that peace, then I want you to have her. I’ll be your best man at the wedding. I’ll babysit your kids when you want date night. Chase—” I swallowed the emotion in my throat and shook my head. “It’s about her.”

Trace is still addicted to Cows and squirrels and it's kind of turning obsessive. I think she needs help... We all know who Trace loves deeply but she will be confused to whom she wants to have a future with, mainly because Nixon is pushing her away to his cousin and Chase is there for her when Nixon seems to forget. Sigh. So this is a hard book on her because of that but also because there are people who want her dead again, and again she will have to hide and pretend. She goes trough many stages of her character personality, going trough her being super naïve one time to having to be strong and try not to break down with some of the news she's going to get. I love her even more now but mainly when she picked a gun and did a pretty courageous thing (you'll know if you read it)...
She grimaced. “I wish I could be more help. I feel like everyone’s risking so much for me and I’m not even doing anything to make it better. If anything it’s worse.”
“Whatever.” Mo thrust her fork into the air. “Boots, things sucked before you came around. Nixon never smiled and I’m pretty sure if you hadn’t have shown up Chase would have gotten one of his professors preggo.”
“Thanks, Mo.” Chase flipped her off.
Chase is kind of the black sheep of the family and man, he's got balls for being strong enough to stand up to Nixon and trying to get the girl. But he does it and finally we see him fighting for something for himself, something that will make him happy. And even if he doesn't win I loved to see that he will go far just to make sure Trace is happy... He's sweet even though he's a previous world-renown Manwhore... Just kidding. Chase is going to be obligated to take on so many responsibilities and we can clearly see that he's not ready for many of them so it kind of brings him down a bit but Trace is always there to support him which I really loved to see.
Yes, just another problem. “Right, but you aren’t mine. Get it? It’s like getting a present for Christmas only to find out someone’s going to take it away on New Year’s.”
“What kind of present am I?”  Trace laughed. “Come on, you can tell me.”
“A bike.” I shook with laughter. “Because I would ride you so hard that you’d—” Her fist knocked the wind out of my stomach pretty effectively, ruining the arousal I’d had going for me about fifteen minutes ago.
I made a choice. To share my soul with her. To be her everything—even if it meant I was going to get nothing in return—because I’d been given permission to do so—I decided I was going to steal her. No longer was it betrayal—it was survival.
In a world of Men the Women rule! Mo and Mil are kind of Bad Ass (and even Trace with her obsessions)... and I really would like to see them getting more time in the book because they are kind of awesome and really interesting.
“Do I look like I need protecting?”
“No,” I chuckled.
“That would be a hell no,” Tex called from the front seat. “Play nice, Mil.”
“Always do!” She walked back inside and shut the door.
“She scares me,” Tex announced once we were on the road. I laughed. “Yeah, well imagine what she was like before reform school.”
Eagle Elite is definitely a series that will keep you occupied throughout the night!! It should have a label that says: if you happen to live a boring life read me and instantly become cool. Yup, it's that good!

Last Hit ( Hitman, #1) by Jessica Clare. Job Well done! -- Book Review --

Published by Pear Tree LLC
Published in November 30th 2013
270 pages
ISBN: 9780989247962

I have been a contract killer since I was a boy. For years I savored the fear caused by my name, the trembling at the sight of my tattoos. The stars on my knees, the marks on my fingers, the dagger in my neck, all bespoke of danger. If you saw my eyes, it was the last vision you’d have. I have ever been the hunter, never the prey. With her, I am the mark and I am ready to lie down and let her capture me. Opening my small scarred heart to her brings out my enemies. I will carry out one last hit, but if they hurt her, I will bring the world down around their ears.

I’ve been sheltered from the outside world all my life. Homeschooled and farm-raised, I’m so naïve that my best friend calls me Pollyanna. I like to believe the best in people. Nikolai is part of this new life, and he’s terrifying to me. Not because his eyes are cold or my friend warns me away from him, but because he’s the only man that has ever seen the real me beneath the awkwardness. With him, my heart is at risk… and also, my life.
Book Review:
I never though it would be possible for a book to be this dangerous and carry such a sweet story within. Last Hit is freaking AMAZING! This book either made me go all like: Kill him, kill him!!! or go: Awwww... It's full of opposites and I love it! There is nobody that can read this and hate it but if you are stupid enough to do that, just wait for Nick to pay you a little visit at night!
I am still trying to cool down because this book is HOT! You have this scary Ukrainian Hit Man that everybody just assumes that he's a brute and then he goes and does the sweetest, most unexpected things to win the heart of the innocent Daisy. Oh my, and when he finally got the girl... The things that went on... Guess you'll just have to read to see it.
"Someday," Bogdan screams behind me. "Someday, like Aleksandr, some girl will be your downfall."
I stop with my white-gloved hand on the door and my back to Bogdan. "Then I will have lived for something important in my life."
Nick is a character that you really have to try to understand because he will not be easy to read. He's all alone and has been all his life and he also thinks that he's a very bad man for killing all those persons. But the thing is that he only kills the "bad guys", the marks that have something dark to hide but even that act of goodness is not good enough for him. He practically been killing people since he was nine... I loved to read about this vulnerability in such a strong character and it helped so much to understand his motives for loving such a sweet innocent girl. He may not look it but he's quite funny. In the beginning of the book he kept breaking and ripping Daisy's shirts and jackets so he could buy her new and expensive ones... See? He's sweet. All this sweet times he may fool you for a while but when he means business you'll get a wake up call... When he's on his Hit Man jobs he's extremely focused and it makes you want to stay the hell away from him...
I was born a killer, my teeth bared, and I claimed my first victim almost before I had taken my first breath. But that is Ukraine. A boy on the streets without a gun is prey. I have never been prey. Always the hunter.
Daisy was kind of naïve the whole time... But for someone that ran away for her dad's house into a ginormous city without so much as a friend, she really deserved for me to try my hardest to like her. And I did! I loved that she was the one that could bring happiness to Nick. I loved that when she found out about his job she supported him instead of ditching him and that she wasn't predictable or an annoying little girl... She turned out pretty great in the end...
Daniel is kind of the BOSS! I loved him and his American slang along with him constantly teasing Nick. He was definitely a breath of fresh air within all of the Hit Man's and he's got such and important part to play in here.... And now that I know that the next book will have him as a main character I am kind of freaking out....
"I'll take a steak. Rare." Daniel tosses his dirty boots onto the gold inlaid coffee table. "I like to hear the faint moos when the dome comes off the plate." Daisy shudders at this statement.
"Gross," she mumbles.
This whole Book was kind of a really shitty day for Regan "the best friend". Even though we really don't get many opportunities to get to know her and actually like her, I fell sorry about the way this book ended for her... But she's also going to get main female character in the next book, so I am also really happy to get to know her better!
The Bratva part of this story is off the chains... It's amazingly described with all the guns, the fighting's and the gross men that take part in killing people over money... I loved every single bit of it and Jessica Clare did an amazing job making sure we knew who the bad guy and the good guy were...
"Once a part of Bratva, always part of Bratva," Sergei sneers.
Las Hit is a MUST to read NOW!  If you love a Hot "Killing" book this one will do the job right away.

Bad Day (Hard Rock Roots, #4) by C.M. Stunich - 5 STARS! Book Review -

I HATE C.M. STUNICH! Every single ending kills us!
The Book is a fucking masterpiece! C.M. Stunich kicked some ass when she was done writing the fourth book in the Hard Rock Roots series. It has even more intrigue, passionate moments, awesome action and characters that just don't know when to stop... All of this in a Rock star life including drugs, sex and everything else that will take them to the edge.
Trey is on the hospital.... I was seriously pissed off because I thought they were going to kill my Trey but then everything was well.  But this was a good thing that happened because it kind of brought everyone together. Turner and Naomi because Turner needed help to get pass this and Naomi was the one thing that would help him forget. America is also going to reveal some really badass secrets that she's been hiding. And Trey's near death experience also is going to tell us who is messing with our guys and girls and why!!
Naomi is fucking indecisive. She's pushing Turner away for most of the book because she thinks that: 1º he isn't going to last with her because of his womanizer ways and 2º because she has to many demons to deal with... Damn, I wanted to shake her and tell her to open her eyes, but then I would probably go to the hospital with a broken nose... She's one of the strongest character that I've ever read of and this book is going to open her eyes in many ways and finally make her believe that Turner is with her to stay because they were meant to be!
“Go to hell, Turner,” I say when what I really mean is I love you.
Turner is a motherfucker! Seriously, just when I think that the guy will keep his mouth shut there he goes again and enters an argument with Naomi... and this goes on and on and on (not that I care because their arguments are fucking HOT!). But, this guy is really going to suffer a blow in the book. His best friend on the hospital, Naomi giving him the cold shoulder and Dax getting closer to Naomi... Man, I would have exploded by now but Turner is used to fighting for what he wants and he's going to fight the harder than he's ever fought before. He's Amazing and if you never noticed that before you will now.
Turner's like an M&M or some shit; it's impossible to eat just one. Now that I've had a taste, I want all the colors. I kind of hate myself for it.

Dax is a bitch (like Turner likes to call him). I always liked him but now screw him. He's really going to try and ruin Turner's relationship with Naomi in here and even manages to sneak in a kiss but he can't be compared to the real man. Just saying.
He's no Turner Campbell, but the kiss is different than anything I've ever felt before. It's like kissing death, but in a good way. Like having a bite of that final rest, tasting soothing comfort and reassurance. I swipe my hand across my mouth and glare.
This book is a whole team effort. They all will unite to find the guy that's screwing with their heads and it's going to be amazing to read about! We all know that they all are very difficult to deal with but now imagine them all together closed in a small house for safety... It will be amazing! The arguments and the fighting's will little by little cease to exist and then they will just unite their strength. It's kind of cute.
Bad Day is fucking perfection.

Spellbound by Sylvia Day. Review...

I've loved Sylvia Day's books from the very beginning but this one really let me down. Spellbound doesn't give us memorable characters that I personally didn't enjoyed reading about, the story doesn't have much of a meaning and it feels like it's just standing there all alone. I walked blindly into this because the book doesn't offer much of a summary but I tried and I'm sad that it failed..
Victoria is just dull. I could not understand her or even begin to like her because she's not relatable, she's not a character that you go like: damn she's strong. No, She's not strong even though she pretends to be, nor is she interesting. Yes, she's a cat but that's the only thing mildly funny about her... The rest is just adjectives thrown into a persona. Though I liked her devotion to Darius and her love for him but then in comes Max and she's dull again.
Max ran his hand over her soft black fur. “You’re beautiful, kitten,” he rumbled in his delicious voice. She purred in reply.
Max is hot and all but it doesn't matter how good looking a character is if you don't like him from the beginning. I am not going to deny that sometimes he was actually interesting and had a few nice, cute words to say but most of the times it was just dominance, dominance, dominance. Okay, I get that this book is all about that, but there are subtle ways of putting it without making it become overwhelming. And Max became disinteresting just because of that and because of being absolutely perfect! Where are the flawed characters like Gideon Cross?
Seriously, you cannot take a breath without having a sex scene... It's Like: let's make dinner. Sex. Let's catch the bad guys. Sex. Sex. Sex. let's see -Sex - a movie. Sex. You see? It came to a point that I had to skip those pages because it bored me. Not to mention that I didn't understand most of the storyline, with all the familiars and hunters and witches and shit. It's way too much information for such a small book.
I'm sad... I guess I'll just have to re-read the crossfire series...

The Eve (The Eden Trilogy, #3) by Keary Taylor Review. Spoilers + Quotes

This book scared the shit out of me. The Eve is absolutely surprising and got my heart pumping faster and faster with all the scares Keary gave us... The Trilogy is over! NOOOO. But at least they got a happy ending! This books were so good so i'm really sad to not having any more of Eve, Vee (she's a surprise), Creed (surprise as well), Avian, West and all the crew together in an asskicking book.

Best book of all three! The Eve shows us the start and the ending of everything. It tells us all the secrets we still didn't knew about TorBane and about the genes running trough Eve's veins. It starts powerful bonds that will make us angry to not get more of and it wraps up in an unbelievable fight in human versus Bane that's so well written that you will feel you're there. It's amazing.
Eve has a big task in here, she will have to return to her old home to TorBane and search for a kill code that will proceed to be launched from her head to kill every living Bane... But whilst she's doing this she'll save the life of one person, manage to find a missing one, have some sweet time with Avian and fight off an army of angry Banes. Yep, she's kind of cool at multitasking and She's been the secret to solve this problem all along! I kind of suspected it but now that it's done it's even greater. She's not just part bane now, she's a girl.
"You are the only being capable of bringing about any sort of change,” Dr. Evans said as he stood finally.  “You, Eve, are the last hope this planet has.  You will be the savior of this world.”
I actually rolled my eyes.

Avian is the sweetest guy. He will be here to support Eve for everything that will come to harm them. He's like her bodyguard even though she doesn't want him to get hurt. They love each other fiercely  and you can tell all throughout this book. They share "I Love You" like crazy and in the end when we get a little a sad surprise that will make the tears flow to everyone, is when we will really notice the depth of their bond.
I didn’t believe in soul mates, but I did believe in the better half of two wholes. Avian was mine.
West is really important in the last book because his life mission is over. He will finally get what he was looking for and live happily ever after. But of course to get there, he will have countless fights with Eve, with Avian and with Eve again and again.
“Seriously, Avian!” West screamed, cradling his jaw in his hand.  “Enough with beating the crap out of me!  We get you don’t want anyone messing with your woman!”
“Quit acting like a dick and I wouldn’t have to,” Avian growled, his blue eyes ablaze.
I am so happy that humanity finally won! Everyone knew they would!!!The humans won over the machine.... But until they got to that point many fights will be fought and many losses will come, which is the worst part. But it's great to see in the end everyone happy and moving on with their robot free life's.
We were few, but we would stand together until the end.
This Trilogy was fantastic. It was full of adrenaline, romance, funny stuff sometimes and even horror so everyone can have something they like. And all of this together formed and asskicking book with characters that will enter your heart in an heartbeat. If you haven't read this book I would suggest for you to get moving because you won't regret it.

Ripped (Miller Sisters, #1) by Sarah Morgan Review. My cheeks hurt from laughing so much...

Just had a bad day? Well, spend five minutes reading the first chapters of this book and you'll be cheery and happy and laughing like a crazy person. I assure you! Ripped is hilarious whilst being the most romantic story ever! Love. Love. Love.
Hayley is a curvy girl, wearing a yellow "puke color" tight dress for the wedding of her ex-boyfriend, so having to hold her breath because she's afraid the dress isn't going to hold isn't exactly her favorite times... Especially when the dress rips and everyone is stands looking at her "assets"... But what she least expects is that Niccolò, the guy who has been throwing her mean glares whenever she's near is the one to giver her his jacket and the one to kiss her senseless behind the church...

Niccolò has always loved the fire he saw in Hayley but she was dating his friend and it stopped him from acting. He knew she was going to be his but he had to wait for an opportunity to present herself  and when it did he finally couldn't control his want anymore. He may be rude and not nice in general but he knows what he wants and he's going to get it...
The winter is romantic, but Sarah Morgan made it over the top with love. All the scenarios for the kisses and moments were written beautifully given the whole story the most amazing ambient. The story is short and very fast, but just in 95 pages she managed to give us a loving story about a stubborn girl and "not-very-nice at first sight" guy.
Hayley is the BOSS and no one can really top her embarrassment when her dress ripped! She's completely crazy and I was laughing non-stop with her, her thoughts alone are awesome. She's entertaining as hell and a smart girl that doesn't understand her value. I liked that her whole New Years' Eve resolution was meaningless sex but five days before New Year she was falling in love and didn't even realized it.
I lowered my head and kissed him, my mouth lingering on his. ‘You’re so sexy. Say something to me in Italian.’
‘Pizza Margherita.’
I giggled, but the crazy thing was he even managed to make that sound sexy.
Niccolò Rossi... Even his name is hot! He's not nice and at first he has a really pretty mouth but no smile, so we deduce that he's really not into Hayley but then he comes in a "white knight" style and I was like: Knew it! I cannot even describe how amazing, caring, sweet, cute, hot this guy is written... He's our dream man that I really wanted to know more about... especially about his family and past that seemed really interesting. But for 95 pages he rocked it!
Nico Rossi wasn’t a good boy. He was a bad boy dressed in a good suit.
I am loving Sarah Morgan right now! Seriously, read this book if you haven't. It's to die for and it will make you fell embarrassed loads of times... Just warning.

Infinite Possibilities (The Secret Life of Amy Bensen, #2) by Lisa Renee Jones. WHAT? Review.

Are you kidding me? The other book was mysterious, but this one is way worse! All the doubts we had, still remain... And after this 250 long pages I still don't know shit about Amy (Lara) Bensen, besides that this book is really looking like a Lara Croft story. But holy hell! Someone we will never see coming is ALIVE!
Sometimes it's boring and sometimes it's repetitive, but no matter what or how much it makes me mad I can never hate this story because it's really good if you manage to stick around... I have to admit that this book is addicting! With it's suspense and constantly putting our minds to work with "who's the bad guy and who's not".... It's quite amazing how Lisa managed to do this  and even after two books we have no idea and no suspects for many things.
I never knew it was possible to meet so many fake people until I met Amy. Seriously, in here so many new people will try to "Help her" finding out the truth and help her with her problems, but most of them will be lying bastards. And the thing is, for a girl with deep trust issues she trusts them way to easily and then she gets burned. SURPRISE. I always liked Amy but she annoyed me in here. She was way too "easy" and repetitive ( her constant need to inform us of how hot Liam is or how much she likes his goatee) and worse of all, she was changing her mind non-stop. (I can trust Liam, But now I can't. And now I can again and on and on....). By the way, I really though that the whole pregnancy thing was unnecessary since it lead us nowhere...
“I need my life back, Liam. That’s true, but you taking it over isn’t going to do that for me.”
“That’s where you’re wrong, baby. Because that’s exactly what I’m going to do. I’m going to get your life back, which means keeping you alive to enjoy it. Even if you hate me in the process.”
Liam is the same pit of questions as always and it will leave us hanging because we find out Shit about his life. Seriously, NOTHING! NADA! All we know and all we get is a rich man that doesn't want to get is past involved and decided instead to help out this young girl just because, fell in love way to easily and now she's his whole world. Way to unreal for me to trust him. I just keep expecting him to slip and admit he's the bad guy already....
It’s a perfect answer, if it comes from the right place with the right motives. “Why?”
“Every time you ask that question, I’ll answer the same.” He leans forward, resting his elbows on his powerful thighs. “I care. It’s that simple.”
“Nothing in my life is that simple.”
“I am.”
The Secret Life of Amy Bensen is one DAMN OF A COMPLICATED SECRET! And between hot men, tons of money and a girl trying to uncover her past you will be left speechless.

Odium by Claire C.Riley Review. !!! ZOMBIES WARNING!!!

HOLY FREAKING ZOMBIES! This book is amazeballs with all it's zombie gore and humans turning on humans... And finally a book that isn't only focused on the romance part of it and instead builds it and manages to add up some pretty disgusting situations in the middle. Action packed and full of characters that will drive you nuts.... Ladies and Gentleman: ODIUM by Claire C Riley.

When an outbreak of zombies start infesting towns after towns, walls are made to keep all the remains of the population safe. But, since the walls stopped receiving support from the government the people have turned against each other and now that safe cities were turned into a prison where beating, starvation and rape is a common deal.

Nina is sick of it and when they throw out a girl named Emily for stealing bread she jumps in and goes with her to a world they barely know with nothing on their backs. Without knowing how to fight and how to protect herself and a fifteen year old, Nina is going to have to learn along the way.

Then, in a sudden scavenging hunt for supplies she finds a man that saves Emily and Nina's life by letting them into his group. In there she will meet people that will hate her and people who she will love no matter how badly she tries to conceal it. But just as she starts to feel safe a danger arises. Something that she should fear harder than the zombies... The forgotten.

Odium is so creepy and dark and twisted... I love it. The zombies are all described so disgustingly with their faces caving in and skin pealing off their bones or with their bodies half eaten and stuff, that it seriously leads us to a pretty vivid imagination.

And all of the fighting scenes? Pure badass! It's Resident Evil style but even better, with weapon like machetes and weird knifes that are just as cool.
We are finally greeted with the view that we have all been dreading. Deaders. Lots of them.
“Fuck!” Crunch breathes out, beating me to the punch line with startling accuracy.
Yes, fuck would be it indeed. Or fucked may be better. Maybe even well and truly fucked.
Everyone loves strong characters that will have their way no matter what or that will say just about anything in the worst times and get in trouble a lot due to it. Well Í introduce to you that winner of the ward for : MOST STUBBORN WOMAN of the literary world! NINA! She's tough as nails and can take down any zombie that walks her way but she's also always the one to ruin all those nice times when everyone is having their “moment” with some pretty inappropriate sayings. She's so cool. I wish that if we were overruled by zombies I could be like her. But that's not happening. This girl has been trough a lot! I like her even better knowing that she isn't broken and a scared girl because of it, but instead still fights fiercely for the people she loves like Emily and Mikey and just doesn't know when to give up!
I look at Mikey again, whose Little Boy Blue dimples are showing on both cheeks. I roll my eyes. And to make matters worse, I’m stuck with this idiot. “What? You’re still staring!” I huff.
Mikey has a ginormous secret that I dumbly didn't even see coming! Seriously, it will make you go like: WHAT? I am kind of crushing on this "Bad Boy" (Inside joke from the book. You have to read to understand!)... he's so amazing. He's strong and dedicated to saving his group and sweetly focused of getting past Nina's armors and get her to admit that she loved him back. We are talking about a boy that also lost everything. A family and friends... But this part of the story we will only ear in the end and it will be rushed. He's strong and tough with a goofy smile that gives us a little happiness in the midst of all the zombies...

Emily should really stop crying and man up. Don't get me wrong, she's strong for a fifteen year old but most of the times she just wouldn't accept that things had changed... I kind of liked her but I will wait for the next book to see what I really think of her...
JD may be my favorite character! I really wanted to hear more of him because he was a great secondary character hat could have loads more of history to share with us.... and am I the only one that feels angry at the way he ended? I was really shocked! Not in a million years I would have expected for a character like him to........
Crunch was stupid.... Just saying. Hated her from the beginning to the end.
Why is it that men turn against each other when the world suffers something big like this? Can't they just get along and fight the bigger enemy? Guess not....
Claire C. Riley blew my mind with this gross book that will take you inside the story and make you live it with every breath, miss every loss and toast to every zombie kill .... It's great..atter. ionh all the <ombie gore and e
