Where Demons Fear to Tread (The Company of Angels 1#) by Stephanie Chong

I'm so glad i got to read this book because it was so different from the other books about angels. I admit that the story could have been more developed but in a way that's what made the story more interesting, it's rawness and joyful soul.
We have Julian a two-hundred-and-fifty-year-old archdemon with it's addicting looks, who is used to getting exactly what he wants. What he doesn't expect is a young stubborn girl, who is also an angel... he wants to corrupt her and take her in to the pit of damnation, after all he does that everyday and it's nothing new. He likes to destroy the mind of young and beautiful girls. Make them believe in love and then leave. That's what feeds is demonic hunger for power and his rise in the food chain of hell. For years he had prayed to god but that hadn't helped him when he most needed, not when is mother died for sure. But suddenly he started prying to the other side and it gave him results. Benefits. The only higher force that gave a crap. Now he doesn't want to answer to nobody but the prince of hell himself.
Serena St.Clair died a year ago in a car accident but she died a hero after saving an entire family of the same destiny. She's an angel destined to protect and to lead people into they're right paths. Now she is the protector and yoga instructor of the sensation of Hollywood Nick. Son of two artists that don't care about him. He's needy and troubled being involved with drugs and prostitutes he's also easily influenced, that's why he needs someone to guide him, to bring him peace.
They both want him but also they are what the other doesn't need and when she agrees to spend a week with him in the city of sin, Las Vegas, he will do everything to make her fall.
In the story i think both characters give so much to it's success, they're personalities may not be so strong but together they can bring a smile into everyone and make us want more. This paranormal romance has it all. The stark difference between the good and the evil that are played by the main characters, the vices of a mad man and the influences of the wrong type of people.
She hated him. She loved him. He was unbearable. He was addictive.
The thing that brought up my attention as well was that Stephanie puts so much reality in the secondary characters and that's what makes the story have a world of it's own. It's the angels and the demons. The choices they are given, after all a demon cannot be redeemed. Can it?

A Brush of Darkness /Abby Sinclair 1#) by Allison Pang

The man of her dreams might be the cause of her nightmares
Seriously? A Perv/Talking Unicorn?  That's some serious imagination Alyson pang has. The story was so original  and with so many different tales and creatures that were involved that i had to take a pause each 10 pages just to imagine it. it was so entertaining and really humorous.
Abby is definitely a heroine i want to follow. She was a former dancer that now was prohibited to dance due to her seizures. The way that she deals with her problems and with her mother's death on top is incredible. She is not pitiful, she's a fighter. But she's stupid, to heroic and a bit clueless....
Touchstones? Never heard of it until this book and definitely going to look out that story. The way Allison brought this tale and described all the scenes is fantastic. She puts you in the scene  and makes you live it and feel it all the way.
This book made me want so much more. It was not enough i feel like the story was cut short...
I loved the bad guy and the way he was able to hide himself trough the story behind another character trough the book all because of a favor. it was really innovating the way it was being used to arm the main character, and Brystion? Oh my Gog.
Brystion is like great in a totally not real way. His character was FAKE nothing in it made me feel like his personality could be real or just new... Which was one of the things i also didn't like in the book. I felt has if they're problems has "friends of benefits" were a bit old  and i would like to have seen something with a little more imagination.

Beautiful Disaster (Beautiful 1#) by Jamie McGuire

Abby Abernathy is a good girl. She doesn’t drink or swear, and she has the appropriate number of cardigans in her wardrobe. Abby believes she has enough distance from the darkness of her past.

Travis Maddox, lean, cut, and covered in tattoos, is exactly what Abby wants—and needs—to avoid. He spends his nights winning money in a floating fight ring, and his days as the ultimate college campus charmer. Intrigued by Abby’s resistance to his appeal, Travis tricks her into his daily life with a simple bet. If he loses, he must remain abstinent for a month. If Abby loses, she must live in Travis’s apartment for the same amount of time. Either way, Travis has no idea that he has met his match.

This is one  of the best books I've read in a while. such a refreshing story full of Love and of problems of your daily life. Because of a bet Abby gets to endure with Travis for a Month but soon they became best friends and even sooner more than that.  But not everything is a see of roses.
“To douchebags!" he said, gesturing to Brad. "And to girls that break your heart," he bowed his head to me. His eyes lost focus. "And to the absolute fucking horror of losing your best friend because you were stupid enough to fall in love with her.”

Abby is an amazing person, i loved that she was a poker player and could kick some serious ass, though  she was a bit annoying at the beginning for being so clueless about the feelings Travis had for her. She also has a boyfriend. You see the problem. But anyway she is awesome, she's serious yet fun and she is a effing genius.
The whole book spins around that one month she spent in Travis apartment, the month that she will finally give in to his charms.
Travis is a big old bad boy. The best kind, but he is just so uncertain once it comes to feelings and relationships that i kind of understood Abby's point of view, but you can see a development in Travis manners. Not counting the moment when he brought home those chicks knowing Abby would see. That was pathetic. But he is the kind os character that you can Hate and Love, though all of the stalking and the mood attacks you can see perfectly that he never loved anyone like that and was just scared of his feelings.
“I know we're fucked up, alright? I'm impulsive, and hot tempered, and you get under my skin like no one else. You act like you hate me one minute, and then need me the next. I never get anything right, and I don't deserve you...but I fucking love you, Abby. I love you more than I loved anyone or anything ever. When you're around, I don't need booze, or money, or the fighting, or the one-night stands...”

Mick (Abby's Dad) was a perfect jackass thinking his daughter had steeled his "Luck" because he had previously been a famous poker player and then he just wasn't anymore. So he blamed his daughter. His blackmails by asking her for money saying she owed him was disgusting.
America is the perfect buddy or "conscience"  that anyone could ask for, she was there every step of the way  either just giving advice or punching Travis for his actions.
Shep's is also great, though i only started liking him at the end of the book.
Beautiful disaster is a five star story that i absolutely loved. The end was perfect. the fighting, the betting and the Mob created a world of danger in a romance book. The perfect combination

Taking Chances by Molly McAdams

Eighteen year-old Harper is now leaving The base in which she spent all of her life to go to college. She will leave her Dad "Sir" and all of her former friends. In College she is introduced to a new world of parties and Boys, will get  piercings and a  provocative wardrobe thanks to her best friend Bree, and will fall almost immediately for two guys. One a Senior and Another a Freshman. Chase and Brandon.
Technically she meets Chase first and an attraction surges between them, but she is new and she has no experience in all boys thing and he is all danger and Tattoos. He is a sweet Casanova and she knows that even if she let him get closer he would never stay with her for long enough without having to go back to his "tramps".
And then Comes Brandon the next day. A caring and sweet boy from the beginning that has this cute little dimple on his face when he smiles. She is swept of her feet and from there they begin dating each other.
Chase doesn't like to see his girl with another man and although he accepts it he will not let it rest.
From now and them the rest of the story is filled with twists and turns that made my head dizzy. I tell you that no one can fall a sleep without the need to finish the book at once.
Harper is a confusing character trough out the book, in one moment she wants something and in another she changes her thoughts with the blink of an eye.
The story goes for about an year and it's a lot similar to "Beautiful disaster" which made me like it but still it had parts that were unbelievable stupid or frustrating. I will tell you, the story is perfectly fine and you can tell what's happening and then it hits you. In that paragraph you will never see the big thing coming. I was so sad...
I had mixed feelings trough this, it seemed that everyone loved to fast and too much our girl Harper. The way that she got a  new family and suddenly they all begun asking her to call them dad and mom and to move in. It was kind of unreal. The way all of the guys also begun to be obsessed with her and suddenly everybody loves her to death, makes me think it was all for the sake of saying how much Harper is beautiful and wonderful by giving her to much and to get the younger girls attracted to this tale.  And it worked for me for about a minute but then it just lost it's appeal. It seemed like a normal story that eventually it could happen to normal people but then it can't. it's very rare to make connections that special so suddenly but every single person she finds it's like that.
Also the way Chase speed though the book, you almost don't even get a change to meet him and like him. it's like the author already had a favorite candidate. And Brandon is like perfect. They are all described perfectly and it makes us fall in love with this tattooed and muscled boys. The family problems, the teenage troubles and sudden surprises makes you adore this book to death. ...pun intended...

Reflected in You by Sylvia Day

--5 Stars--

I love how the book starts just where it ended and Wasted no time with that lame introductions telling us what we already know. The beginning  is clean and simple and very Hot starting with our lead Male alpha Gideon. Oh i did missed him very much. But there is some tension between the couple due to the trust issues they face during they're last fight.
Eva and Gideon are a damaged couple. But this time they have a counselor. It will be fun to read that.
The book approaches loads of the questions i had when finished "Bared to you". Including Gideon's troubled past life of when he was a kid and the story he never wants to share. We will finally get him to open up and share all of his secrets and mistakes. An we will try to fix him.
They are such a wrong couple in so many other aspects. But that's how we like them right? It wouldn't be fun to watch them separably.
Honestly i put off reading "Reflected in You" just because i knew once i started reading it would be an emotional wreck and i was right. They are both idiots in my opinion. They need to be together 24/7 which is not healthy but it seems that the more people tell them that, the more they ignore it. They can't see that the world does not evolve around them as a couple. They need to relax around each other. They use sex as a mean to resolve problems, as a weapon against each other. Also the jealousy in insane.
Eva Surprised me in the story, i think she finally got a voice and started to speak up for herself. She became a strong person. She became the woman she wanted to be. She got a Make Over and a new confidence which i found appropriate. An Ex is coming to town and i think he will make a big appearance in the next book, But for now he will make Gideon nuts. Ghosts from the past will come back and taunt her as well. One very awful monster which i liked to have seen approached more slightly in the story. But it worked out. She will need all of her strengths to deal with all of this story from the beginning.
Gideon. I have lost count of the times he's accused of cheating trough out the book but he deserved it. He is no saint and doesn't make Eva's life any easier. He shadows her every movement past the point of stalking.
He's such an intense character and with the new Asshat mood accompanied he is almost too much to bare.
His personality goes from controlling to sweet and possessive to loving, he's mysterious and regal and  he knows he needs Eva and loves her so much that he doesn't know how to act on it. He would die and KILL for her, she is everything he wants.... Do i need to say more.?
Sylvia Day gave us burning passion. Hate. Fun. Power. And most importantly she gave us a book filled with the New York city life and all it's glam. Beautifully damaged characters that warm our heart. Awesome friend s. A murder scene and a bunch of ass kicking.

A Blood Seduction (Vamp City 1#) by Pamela Palmer

Take me down to Vampire City...

Vampires live only for lust and pleasure in the eternal twilight of Vamp City. But the city's magic is dying. The only person who can restore it? A beautiful woman from the mortal world...one who knows nothing of the power she wields.

Quinn Lennox is searching for a missing friend when she stumbles into a dark otherworld that only she can see—and finds herself at the mercy of Arturo Mazza, a dangerously handsome vampire whose wicked kiss will save her, enslave her, bewitch her, and betray her. What Arturo can't do is forget about her—any more than Quinn can control her own feelings for him. Neither one can let desire get in the way of their mission—his to save his people, hers to save herself. But there is no escape from desire in a city built for seduction, where passion flows hot and blood-red.

Welcome to Vamp City...

Quinn has a brother whom she loves above all even herself. When Lily, her brother's girlfriend, disappears they go looking for her ans step into Vamp City V.P. And the story starts...
Then both of them are lost from each other and then Quinn has to find her brother and then get the hell out.  But how is she going to do that if she's full of her own problems? Mainly a vampire that just happens to buy her for a servant. And that this city doesn't do well with witches like her.
I really liked Arturo since the beginning. He is an enigmatic character who happens to lie exquisitely well. He goes from protecting Quinn to betray and give her to his master in a matter of seconds and though Quinn already expects it she still falls for it.  She gives her trust to easily and just doesn't get that VAMPIRES ARE BAD!!

All the good things....
- The story enthralled me from the beginning, there isn't a dull moment in this book.
- The Villain changes loads of times during this story, is a spiral of events. And it's amazing how Pamela Palmer manages to write in a way that you never see it coming.
- There is more than action, more than plenty of blood and loads of terror and dark creatures.
-Arturo  is so hot. And a sneaky man.
-This story introduces us to a different type of vampires who can feed on pain, pleasure, fear... so you don't get bored with just plain blood.
-The relationship between the characters seems real. Like Quin's and Max and Arturo's and his Master. All the emotions are felt and lived...
-The scenes are so realistic it's kind of bad sometimes. (in a good way)

Bad Things....
-Quinn missed way to many opportunities either to escape or just to kill someone. It passed the point of being stupid because she wasted them all.
-Nobody can be trusted and you can see that in the ending. The book is full of surprises...
-Arturo is Hot.
-Some actions are just plain stupid. She just needs to stop acting like the girl who needs help every turn of the way.
-She needs to understand that vampires need witches like her. And that they don't want eternal love.

The ending was mind blowing and so not expected. A perfect ending to a mischievous book. Definitely a wonderful book and Pamela Palmer just got a new fan.

Shut Out By Kody Keplinger

Most high school sports teams have rivalries with other schools. At Hamilton High, it's a civil war: the football team versus the soccer team. And for her part,Lissa is sick of it. Her quarterback boyfriend, Randy, is always ditching her to go pick a fight with the soccer team or to prank their locker room. And on three separate occasions Randy's car has been egged while he and Lissa were inside, making out. She is done competing with a bunch of sweaty boys for her own boyfriend's attention

Then Lissa decides to end the rivalry once and for all: She and the other players' girlfriends go on a hookup strike. The boys won't get any action from them until the football and soccer teams make peace. What they don't count on is a new sort of rivalry: an impossible girls-against-boys showdown that hinges on who will cave to their libidos first. But what Lissa never sees coming is her own sexual tension with the leader of the boys, Cash Sterling...

All i can say is that this book is delicious. We have wars, between boys and girls and between they're libidos.

Lissa has a boyfriend named Randy (the quarterback of the football team) and they are always being interrupted by some idiot of the opponent team, the soccer team. And it can't go on, she wants some alone time without being worried if the car she's on will be egged all over again... So she came up with the great idea to screw the boys, or not, by joining they're girlfriends in a fierce group and making them promise to go on strike, a sex, strike. Oh Boy they are in it for the kill as they will fight with they're weapons as well, and believe me boys can be deceiving and taunting but the girl are strong. So who will win the sex war?

The battle........ is on.

Our dear cover is amazing, the girl is beautiful and the look in her eyes is determined, which has everything to do with our Lissa, she's a great character, neither we could expect less from Kody as she always gives us the example of an awesome leading girl. She is an easy person that every girl can relate too, she's simple and leads with normal day to day problems. She has no female figure in her life, only her dad and brother who seem to like her current boyfriend quite too much, her dad faces a will-chair and her brother is suddenly dating a not so mystery girl. But do they know who Randy really is to they're baby girl?  No. Nobody knows.
Randy is a manipulative, deceiving guy who i would love to crush under my hand. By school standards he is the resident God and she should be very lucky to date him. I think he loves her but is too stupid to do something about it and that will eventually take a tool on they're relationship.
Then we have Cash who is everything you may want, but isn't it always like that? I mean, it always has to have the bad and the good boy. And Cash is the very good, very hot, very prohibited guy, after all he is the leader of the opponent team. Will that be a good or a bad thing? Only time will tell  i mean he already stood her up once which can only mean he is not interested....  well one thing they have in common they are both teases....

Continuing... All of the girls the "girlfriends" help make the story even more likable and just fun, they stop just tolerating each other to creating a bond and an awesome friendship in which they got each others backs. We also get and inside on the boys minds, they aren't as basic as we think they can actually think and formulate accurate plans to get to they're final reward. Just kidding. You can see that some of them due to this strike really thought trough the relationship they were in and considered something more serious  or if it was just not worthy.

The book is so fun and The girls rule. The story is light and easy to get into and is really and awesome read :D

The Faerie Ring 1 by Kiki Hamilton

  ---4.5 stars---

The year is 1871, and Tiki has been making a home for herself and her family of orphans in a deserted hideaway adjoining Charing Cross Station in central London. Their only means of survival is by picking pockets. One December night, Tiki steals a ring, and sets off a chain of events that could lead to all-out war with the Fey. For the ring belongs to Queen Victoria, and it binds the rulers of England and the realm of Faerie to peace. With the ring missing, a rebel group of faeries hopes to break the treaty with dark magic and blood—Tiki’s blood.

Unbeknownst to Tiki, she is being watched — and protected — by Rieker, a fellow thief who suspects she is involved in the disappearance of the ring. Rieker has secrets of his own, and Tiki is not all that she appears to be. Her very existence haunts Prince Leopold, the Queen’s son, who is driven to know more about the mysterious mark that encircles her wrist.

This book brings us a brave and innocent girl that fights to protect the ones she loves most.
Tiki is a former lady turned thief, though not by her choice. After her parents died she went to her aunt but there was something about her uncle, something in the way he gazed at her that made her uncomfortable so she had to run and the only life that accepted her and her only choice were the streets, where she meet friends for life, her family...
But when she steels a ring that happens to hold truce between worlds and soon realizes that she's in the middle of something way bigger than her.  Oh boy. She better trust in her self, friends and sometimes even foes...

"But that was the whole problem—it took money to buy good health, to get the proper medicines to cure an ailment. And the ring was their only hope of getting enough money to afford a home of their own someday."

Tiki is such a wonderful example of strength, she cares for others sometimes more than for herself. She has a heart of gold and sometimes the description of this type of characters can be seen has cocky or  full of them self's,  but not Tiki, she is compassionate and though she has nothing for her it's more than enough. Not to mention she has hands as fast as thunder, she can pick any pocket and she is known for that, but the thing is, everyone thinks that the mysterious girl in indeed a boy. Did i mentioned that she is smart as well??

"Tiki laughed. “I’m quite sure there’s nothing about me that you’d find interesting,”"

And then comes Rieker another known thief, but there's more to him than his cool demeanor. He likes to get on Tiki's nerve, and it wouldn't be an alluring relationship if he didn't do it so. He's cocky but always likes to help orphans and people of the street without hoping for something in return and he also hides one of the biggest secrets of the book, so keep your eyes open for this lover boy...

“You’re in love with her, aren't you?”
“I can see it in his eyes,” Leo said. Curiosity burned liked a flame in his gut. He turned to Rieker. “I can see it when you look at her, when you talk about her. But I feel compelled to stop you, Wills. There’s something amiss. How well do you know her background?”

Then We have: Toots; Fiona; Clara and Shamus... Her friends, the ones she shares everything she has... A Bunch of orphans who were abandoned by the society. Together they make an alliance. I just didn't want to live in they're street otherwise i would get mugged every single day. Yep, they are that good.... They are described as fragile and weak in appearance but when you get to know them you just take it that after all that they have been trough it's a miracle that they are still standing and smiling.

The story is fast paced at a steady rhythmic of events. There's literally everything you may want in this novel, starting with it being Historical fiction which sometimes is not well described , not in this case, i think if so it's what gives the book it's mood and appeal. The streets of London with all it's high's and low's. The Buckingham Palace with it's princes LEO and ARTHUR, but mostly LEO... All the flair of the dresses  the etiquette and all the jewels waiting to be mugged. There's Romance, Faeries and loads of secrets and mysteries. You will get enthralled by the intensity of the faeries tales and intrigues, and a special blonde girl that gets in my nerves...

Kiki Hamilton is indeed special with her way of writing and making us feel connected with the character she gifts us with . I loved each and every one of them...

Wonderful book to read and enjoy <3

A Midsummer's Nightmare by Kody Keplinger

4.5 Stars...

Whitley Johnson's dream summer with her divorcé dad has turned into a nightmare. She's just met his new fiancée and her kids. The fiancée's son? Whitley's one-night stand from graduation night. Just freakin' great.

Worse, she totally doesn't fit in with her dad's perfect new country-club family. So Whitley acts out. She parties. Hard. So hard she doesn't even notice the good things right under her nose: a sweet little future stepsister who is just about the only person she's ever liked, a best friend (even though Whitley swears she doesn't "do" friends), and a smoking-hot guy who isn't her stepbrother...at least, not yet. It will take all three of them to help Whitley get through her anger and begin to put the pieces of her family together.
So the book starts off with This :  "Hangovers are a bitch."
You can already see that the main character is going to be a party girl. and it's indeed the true. Whitley is eighteen and going off to college but the summer before that she hopes she can enjoy it with her dad, though nothing turns out like what she wants. Dad has a new family, anyhow that's the way she sees it, a perfect white  fence House, she never though suited him, the perfect blond business new fiancee and two new kids to look after.
He's got all of this and didn't even bothered to call and tell her, not until she was stepping out of the car and being hugged by some blonde bimbo. So not her Thing...

"I gritted my teeth. Whose time did he really think he’d be wasting by calling me? Mine or his?"
The thing is the night before, her graduation, was pretty wild and she ended up going all the way with a guy so, how awkward it is when you see this same guy presenting himself has your stepbrother? So bad.
Well between  gaining a sister, a gay best friend, love and a new family she has to be able to stay sane but the only thing that keeps her calm is booze, tequila to be exact, so why does her dad doesn't seem to care? So suddenly her dad is not so perfect, after all he did cheat on her mom.

So let's start with our star... Whitley. She's somewhat difficult, she uses drinking to drawn her problems and she doesn't think nobody cares about her feelings.  She doesn't do friends or boyfriends and everyone thinks she is a slut but she isn't, she just party's a lot and sometimes with the wrong people and it's not like she will let what other people say about her get to her head. Will she? I mean she knows it's not true so it can't hurt...  But it does and she know it she lives it everyday. She is so rude during the first few chapters i wanted to knock some sense into her, make her realize that she she can talk things out. And when she ditches the perfect guy that actually wants more than one night stand i go like WHAT THE HELL....
She has everything anyone can want though she doesn't realize it.

"He turned to face me, his hand already on the doorknob. “I told you. I don’t want to be that kind of guy. I don’t just want sex, Whit. I want more. I want everything. I want you.”"

So in this enters Nathan Caulfield the good boy but not in a bad way. He is nerdy though he's a Jock, he is rude but only when it comes to protect the ones he loves, and he loves her though he know he will have to win the love back...  He's great, i love Bad Boys don't get me wrong but Nathan is somewhat an exception to my case, he is not boring or dull, for the contrary he has a lot of personality that gives him credibility and makes you embrace him.  He has had some problems in the past so he knows what Whitley's going trough. And he's willing to cure the girl that stole his heart. Even if it means getting his heart smashed in return..

Did anyone asked for the perfect gay friend? Because the book got it. Oh Harrison you complete me, only if you were not gay. Seriously if you don't like the story at least read it cause of Harrison.... <3

And between the mommy issues and Daddy issues you are going to find an everyday case that asides the problems you wish it could be true..

Kody Keplinger is only 19? Are you serious? She is so talented. This is a book i could read all over again, it inspired me in so many ways. Seeing that society is so rude if you are not in the perfect little bubble the want, if you are not the stereotype... Besides girls are mean and guys are gross .. Thanks to my friend Whitley i learned that lesson...

"Screw nightmares. I was waking up."

The Duff (Designated Ugly Fat Friend) by Kody Keplinger

 5 STARS....

Seventeen-year-old Bianca Piper is cynical and loyal, and she doesn’t think she’s the prettiest of her friends by a long shot. She’s also way too smart to fall for the charms of man-slut and slimy school hottie Wesley Rush. In fact, Bianca hates him. And when he nicknames her “the Duff,” she throws her Coke in his face.

But things aren’t so great at home right now, and Bianca is desperate for a distraction. She ends up kissing Wesley. Worse, she likes it. Eager for escape, Bianca throws herself into a closeted enemies-with-benefits relationship with him.
Until it all goes horribly awry. It turns out Wesley isn’t such a bad listener, and his life is pretty screwed up, too. Suddenly Bianca realizes with absolute horror that she’s falling for the guy she thought she hated more than anyone.

You already, by the synopsis, can see how the novel is going to go down. But what you don't expect is to fall for every single personage in the story.

We have Bianca a leading feminist that strongly believes in not judging others (asides Wesley) and being the perfect friend. She doesn't drink and she doesn't screw everything that moves.

"Okay. I know, I know. I think PDA is gross and immature, but come on. I was a little too distracted to care who might be watching. So, yeah, I put my usual values aside for a second and wrapped my arms around his neck. I mean, I could always go back to my crusade against public make-outs in the morning."

She is surrounded by two friends that will make her life hell, in a good way, they are awesome Casey and Jessica are the two very hot friends. Casey is tall, blonde and beautiful and Jessica is the curvy bubbly blond one.

"Jessica hated negativity. Hated it so much, in fact, that she wouldn't even say she hated it. That would have been too negative."

They are perfect in Bianca standards and in storm Wesley. He thinks that by pretending to be nice to Her "The Duff" He can get into one of her friends pants Oh he is so very wrong and due to that he will begin a journey of a love hate relationship with Bianca.

They both have troubles thought they don't want to show it off, Bianca is going trough her parents divorce and her dad drinking problems and Wesley, apparently perfect guy, is going ignored by his parents. They connect in a level that they do not expect. It all started as Bianca Using Wesley to forget a long lost Boyfriend back in town, will she be getting anew boyfriend soon?

Wesley doesn't do Girlfriends, he does one night stands and maybe an hot affair and that just about it.  and that's what is expected of him, what people don't realize is that he is a person and he has feelings. and he has that crooked grin.....

So you will see the dynamic these two will provoke together.

"Despite my best efforts, I smiled. He wasn't perfect, or even remotely close, for that matter, but, hey, neither was I. We were both pretty fucked up. Somehow, though, that made everything more exciting. Yeah, it was sick and twisted, but that’s reality, right? Escape is impossible, so why not embrace it?"

The book widens and discuss the need of the society to be perfect, to be thin and model looking. The Duff. But everyone is the duff at least once in they're life... and you have to see being the duff can also be a good thing...

"That was something we all had in common. We were all sluts or bitches or prudes or Duffs. I was the Duff. And that was a good thing. Because anyone who didn't feel like the Duff must not have friends. Every girl feels unattractive sometimes. Why had it taken me so long to figure that out? Why had I been stressing over that dumb word for so long when it was so simple? I should be proud to be the Duff. Proud to have great friends who, in their minds, were my Duffs."

The book is really insightful and great in a simplistic way. I didn't know who was Kody Keplinger but for now on i will keep in mind her name....

Clash (Crash 2) by Nicole Williams

4.3 stars...

The only easy thing about Jude and Lucy’s relationship is their love for one another. Everything else is hard.

Especially when it comes to reining in Jude’s trigger touch temper and Lucy’s increasing jealousy of Jude’s Spirit Sister on the cheer squad who’s attached herself to him in just about every way a girl could. Feeling the stress of trying to hang on to her quintessential bad boy while becoming the foremost dancer in her class, Lucy knows something’s going to break. She wants both. She needs both. But if she doesn’t make a choice, she risks losing everything.

For Lucy Larson and Jude Ryder, love might be the thing that just isn't enough.

So we have the next page in Lucy's and Jude's relationship and i will say it's rather rocky. Jude's still a mess with his overprotective ways and threats and Lucy still the same i-need-to-fix-him kind of gal.

And enter Adriana Vix the shewolf, The football players are entitled to a spirit sister and Adriana nailed Jude so she thinks that gives her the right to get him in bed.  she wants Jude but Lucy is not going to give him up that easily without picking a fight (literally). That makes Jude be kind of mad that Lucy doesn't trust him yet but in her shoes i would be like that as well.   Here comes on trust problem that makes them hit bottom.

The book was discussions from start to end and back. It's really confusing to say who is right and who is wrong saying that both of them did thing to each other they shouldn't. Jude has is past has a manwhore and doesn't like when a guy turns is sight on Lucy but that's unfair seeing that Whenever someone hits on Jude Lucy can never say something because that something it's a break of trust? It's unfair and that made me side with Lucy in the first chapters of the book.
But then it changed. Jude tried hard to get her back but all the time she was leaving him without so much and explanation or popping up in his life again just to say goodbye again. That made me say poor Jude.
I guess it's not fair for both. They both have problems but neither want to get to the bottom of it. but together they make the ultimate couple.

And then we have the end. It was so crazy but so good. The author tied the story in such a perfect way. It's a perfect ending for the imperfect couple.

I loved Crash but still wasn't enough, But Clash is over the top the best book of the series so far . It's fast paced and bring a whole new level of emotion to the characters. You have the boyfriend stealing girl (not to say something else), the cat fight, the hot football players, the ballerinas and the average relationship problems. It's awesome.

Crash (Crash 1) by Nicole williams

3.8 stars...

Southpointe High is the last place Lucy wanted to wind up her senior year of school. Right up until she stumbles into Jude Ryder, a guy whose name has become its own verb, and synonymous with trouble. He's got a rap sheet that runs longer than a senior thesis, has had his name sighed, shouted, and cursed by more women than Lucy dares to ask, and lives at the local boys home where disturbed seems to be the status quo for the residents. Lucy had a stable at best, quirky at worst, upbringing. She lives for wearing the satin down on her ballet shoes, has her sights set on Juilliard, and has been careful to keep trouble out of her life. Up until now.

Jude's everything she needs to stay away from if she wants to separate her past from her future. Staying away, she's about to find out, is the only thing she's incapable of.

For Lucy Larson and Jude Ryder, love's about to become the thing that tears them apart.

They already knew each other before they ended up in the same high school  He made her hair burn. Really. She was seen with him by the wrong people so they made a point  buy trying to burn her with gasoline. yup. From there on he doesn't call, talk or even show up to give her an explanation. Two weeks pass by and the new school starts.
So you see the tension when they see each other in school, where she is  labeled SLUT because they're story is already known by everybody. And so he threatens the school and with only a word Lucy becomes the new "it" girl.
The book exploits they're relationship and how a good old bad boy fall for the good girl She has her future planed out and he thinks he his a nobody. He is the guy everyone is afraid of, the guy you cross the street for and the guy who has a future in prison already planned. She wants to change that.
Jude is awesome, is character is just described perfectly and his flaws make him more likable. If that's possible. He is HOT. Let's just say that. But he has a troubled pass, one that he cannot ignore.  And with the book you will see in the end, when the big secret blows up, why he is like that.
Lucy. She wants to go to Julliard. She annoys me but i like her. Lucy is a "I-don't-care-what-you-think-
kind of gal so she is cool with the rumors. Thought she is going to mess up a lot during the book, and going to choose the wrong guy for several times i think her progress is very believable and unique. She's a ballerina, the perfect little future on the way. And she will let nobody get in the way. Not Diamond for starters.
Oh Diamond I hate him so bad. Such bad "in a good way" character that you will feel like punching all the time. too perfect. To tidy up and too annoying.
So the overall book. i give 3.8 stars.
It's a pretty little story  but nothing more. The thing that really is good  is the way the characters are built and developed in the story. It has very intricate personalities.

Gilt by Katherine Longshore

4.0 stars

Goddreads description:

In the court of King Henry VIII, nothing is free--
and love comes at the highest price of all.

When Kitty Tylney's best friend, Catherine Howard, worms her way into King Henry VIII's heart and brings Kitty to court, she's thrust into a world filled with fabulous gowns, sparkling jewels, and elegant parties. No longer stuck in Cat's shadow, Kitty's now caught between two men--the object of her affection and the object of her desire. But court is also full of secrets, lies, and sordid affairs, and as Kitty witnesses Cat's meteoric rise and fall as queen, she must figure out how to keep being a good friend when the price of telling the truth could literally be her head.

There's Kitty and there's Kat. She's the Kitty to her Cat they said. She loyal while the other is manipulative. She's a friend while the other a backstabber. Thought they remained together no matter what. Together until the end they said.

The book passes a friendship based on lies. Catherine and Katherine. Cat is the popular beautiful one while Kitty depends on her to live a decent life, because if one of them is going to make it it's going to be Cat. Kitty is not pretty and she can only relay on her youth and friend if she wants to be remembered. She is smart and perceptive. The point of view is told by Kitty Tylney, she is a really realistic character remembered  by her determination, strength and loyalty. Cat is a brat, self centered bitch.

They dreamed with the court and with Cat being married to the King now they finally made it. The story of they're past life's is gonna come on top and it's begin for trouble, there's many loose ties waiting to burst. The life at court is full of lies and dishonesty.  Cat thinks she can overcome all of this and boss her way in. well she is not the only smart person inside the scheming group and soon all the moves she made against everyone will come back and bite her in the ass. The problem is she will not be the only one affected. After all, Loyalty is not so forgiving.

The book hooked me from the start. Normally i don't like historical romances but this one is so full of intrigue and deceive it drove me crazy and begging for the next thing to happen.   The scenery is so good, the life at court so specific  and the characters so amazing you learn to love it.
And yes there is a bit of romance <3

Pack Challenge (Magnus pack 1) by Shelly Laurenston

I love a really good heat-steamed, hot, and taunting relationship, so this book blew me away

I give it a good old 4.3 stars.

Zach Sheridan does not want a mate. At all. All he wants is to became the next Alpha male in Magnus Pack and he plans it for now, he's just waiting for the right time to pounce. He despises that idea of a mate until he meets the alluring Sara, her attitude drives him crazy with need though she has no idea that she is a Shifter. He does not want a irresponsible, taunting, loud, crazy girl on his tracks most of all because her hormones are going crazy, her attitudes reckless and all she wants his to have fun and be free.

Sara is an intricate character she is stubborn and likes to talk back, especially to Zach. After a crazy childhood with an even crazier grandmother she is ready to give up, if not for the crazy friends that got her back. Angelina and Nikki. Those three drive everyone of a cliff. They are loud, rude and very sexy to every other male in the pack and in they're little town. They argue and they make up.
Sara has it full with trouble having to deal with these two, all that she Doesn't need is an all out Bad boy, hot blooded male coming to her rescue or falling for her. She will try to escape though maybe her place is indeed with him. As his MATE.

The book is full of animal on animal fighting, discussions of two soon to be lovers that crash with one another, hot Texan gals and boys and pretty bad boys that will do anything to get what belongs to them....

Breaking Sin (sin series) by Teresa Mummert

4.o stars.

Sinthia wants to escape college unscathed and move on with her plans for a perfect life, but an unlikely friendship with Collin, the resident bad-boy, makes her rethink what she wants.

It's a very small description i know but so is the book with only 190 pages.  Can you believe it? I really enjoyed it so when it ended it was sad.
It makes you smile, it makes you frown , it makes you go like "Oh God Why?"  but it makes you love them as well.
Thought it's small, so very small, it has a big story. It's fast paced  and a little rushed you see they're stories in a blur, weeks later later, five years later ...
Anyhow. No it doesn't have any sin in the stories. The girl is named Sin, thanks to Collin...
Oh Collin green eyes and dark hair..... And so very yummy with abs (of course) and a smile that is to die for.

Then you have Beef (Sin laugh every time she says is name) is supposedly is a family name. not.

Then you have Jake who is like a brother to her and protects her and at last
Taylor her bff. kind of. She likes to party and to sleep of with boys.
Sin is great, a bit naive, but cute and interesting at some points.

So the book shows a relationship growth from a girl that only barely has a friend (girl) and just by going out one night suddenly is inside a group that is very reckless, everything that Sin is not. She starts by being they're Wingman  and getting the girls for the boys but she and Collin start to grow near each other and she wants it to stop. Because never in a million years he would be the kind of guy you would bring home to your mother at least not in Sin's standards.
So she finds a new guy. A NERD!  She grows apart from the group and starts dating a guy that never wants to have fun thought he makes the mistake from calling her a slut in front of Collin and the hell comes on us. They break up and more i am NOT going to tell. Partially because the ending is awesome and you have to see what's beyond that part which is totally cute.
It's a book to finish in two-three hours depending.

Fury's Kiss (Dorina Basarab 3) by Karen Chance

Goodreads :

Dory is used to fighting hard and nasty. So when she wakes up in a strange scientific lab with a strange man standing over her, her first instinct is to take his head off. Luckily, the man is actually the master vampire Louis-Cesare, so he’s not an easy kill.

It turns out that Dory had been working with a Vampire Senate task force on the smuggling of magical items and weaponry out of Faerie when she was captured and brought to the lab. But when Louis-Cesare rescues her, she has no memory of what happened to her.

To find out what was done to her—and who is behind it—Dory will have to face off with fallen angels, the maddest of mad scientists, and a new breed of vampires that are far worse than undead…

The day i got the book :

The first few pages were quite confusing with a fight scene awesomely vivid and some craziness by Dory. She wakes up in a strange lab with a read-head telling her that he is her boyfriend. Shocker she told him to go to hell. But they fought anyway and ran. So the awaking up in the room routine starts. You will know what i mean in just about a moment.

Karen chance kills me in what comes to romance, action and twists and turns. She's the best hands down, although her books sometimes can drag on for pages with the same things.  A conversation in this book can last up to thirty pages, that's big... and sometimes saying the same.

"Sometimes I don’t make sense, even to me."  Dorina

The book really did it for me, (the multiple character disorder) it was fast paced and very well described with enough romance, action and sort of horror scenes to appeal to all kinds of tastes.
Her relationships developments were extraordinary,

1# Ray. She becomes his master without really wanting it, meaning he went to the senate telling them she protected him and now she was his protector. Dory went speechless. That guy can seriously kick ass, not, though he is really good bringing the mood up, he always has something happening to him. Either it's his ass getting burned (literally) or getting kidnapped buy some serious dangerous people.

“So I guess this makes me your sidekick, right?” he asked. “Like I could be…"
He scowled. “I ain’t no Robin.”
“What’s wrong with Robin?”
“What’s wrong?” Ray rolled his eyes. “Two words: green Speedo. And he was lame. Batman was always having to save his ass.”
I didn’t say anything.
“Hey, I was doing okay before you showed up. All right?”
I decided not to comment on that, mainly because I hadn’t been doing any better. “So Robin’s out.”
2# Mircea (her father). So she hates him pretty bad because he messed up with her memories making her forget about her mother and uncle (Dracula oh yeah), she always blamed him for her existence and always though he didn't quite liked her. He proved her wrong either physically and verbally. He tries, he really does but she's just no that into it. In the book we get some flashes of they're life that he erased. The loves he has for her is evident in the memories, she is a child and he reads for her and tells her that to keep her safe they have to move over and over again but he will never give up on her. Never. Thought everyone tells him that he should kill her now and avoid danger later. He doesn't do it. He loves her badly, she is his daughter after all.

But his face was drawn and his eyes were pained as he looked down at me, and there was a strange expression on his face: defiance and fierce pride and something that looked like wonder, all jumbled up.

Ohhh. For the first time she actually believes he loves her.

3# Louis-Chesare. The love interest, because no book could be good without one. So, they are always interrupted by someone when they are getting they're freak on (yup i just said that) and she thinks de isn't serious about her, because previously everyone is reluctant either to touch her or be near her. But he is different and she feels it and is afraid.

“He’s stupid about you,” Ray said, glaring at me. “And you’re stupid about him. You’re both stupid about each other, which would be great if you weren't also really fucking stupid—” “Ray.”

This says it all. In the end all ends well though. She lets her fences down and lets him in making them an official couple. AHHHHH

After a while, it got a little better, and I rolled over and watched the vampire instead. He was more interesting—a lot more, I decided, as the firelight danced over fascinating hills and valleys, hard muscle and soft creases, and picked out fiery glints in the dark mass of his hair. And in the brilliant blue eyes that slowly opened to blink at me. An arm reached out and tugged me over, and I went grinning, sprawling on top of him bonelessly. And pleased to discover that, yes indeedy, he wasn’t wearing anything except a satiny comforter. Of course, that was kind of a problem, too, because silken sheets and satin bedding and sleek vampire turn out to be kind of slippery. I started to slide off the other side, but hands came up to grip my waist. I smiled sloppily at their owner.
And it ends they're suffering of one another like this. :D:D:D

The book is ginormous. I say more relationships with Louis-chesare, more love and caring for her father and less pages for sure. It will be the perfect book next.
And while i wait for it i will reincarnate Dorina with everyone else.

On Dublin Street by Samantha Young

All she wants is the present
but tomorrow is waiting...

5 stars...

Jocelyn Butler has been hiding from her past for years. But all her secrets are about to be laid bare…

Four years ago, Jocelyn left her tragic past behind in the States and started over in Scotland, burying her grief, ignoring her demons, and forging ahead without attachments. Her solitary life is working well—until she moves into a new apartment on Dublin Street where she meets a man who shakes her carefully guarded world to its core.

Braden Carmichael is used to getting what he wants, and he’s determined to get Jocelyn into his bed. Knowing how skittish she is about entering a relationship, Braden proposes an arrangement that will satisfy their intense attraction without any strings attached.

But after an intrigued Jocelyn accepts, she realizes that Braden won’t be satisfied with just mind-blowing passion. The stubborn Scotsman is intent on truly knowing her… down to the very soul.

So the book is awesome. The way Samantha writes is unique and talented. She draws us into the story and tells us to deal with her characters. This book has everything you want in a romance. It has the bad boy, the damaged girl, the perfect family, the normal traumas, and the giddy sister.  What else could you possible want.
I devoured this book so fast i regret it ending now. I might read it again in a few months, that's how much i enjoyed it.
I would really advise this book. It's great and the characters are perfect, you can tell they're thoughts and actions, you get used to them, and they are so unique you fell bad for them when something bad happens.
All the fights and good moments, the memories and the crying brings out in you some kind of felling.

Jocelyn and Braden and Ellie and Adam. The two main couples of the book. Here are some of they're story

Let's start with Jocelyn. She has serious problems with trusting people and confide in them. She sees herself has this little thing that deserves no care or love. Since the lost of her parents, when she was fourteen, and the death of her best friend she has let no one come close enough to see the cracks left in her heart.   Until she meets Braden. Oh Braden. The controlling, possessive, sexy, perverted,  flawed boy (millionaire) who feels an attraction  to her since they're breve meeting in a taxi.

He's all over the place now, and even more Jocelyn has changed into his sister flat, that's when they're second meeting happens. A very naked second meeting. Ahhh So they his it off from the start. She thinks that because he only hooks up with stick blondes she is nowhere near his eye sight. She is wrong, so he offers a proposition- Friends with Benefits for three months and she says yes...

Therefore she starts a relationship she so promised never to have. The cause to her freak outs that very calmly Braden likes to ease.

They start falling deep for each other and at the end of they're term she breaks up with him until he coaxes her back into dating for real this time. And break up again and back again. And then happy ever after.

Yup he falls big time!

Passing on to Ellie and Adam (Braden's best friend). They like each other but are too afraid of telling Braden to actually doing something about it. So she dates other people and he threatens the guys to never touch her again or coming near her. She gets pissed and only when it's discovered her having a tumor (benign thank good) it's when he has the balls to come up to her tell her that he loves her and kissing her big time in fornt of all of her family. OH YEAH,.....

Losing it by Cora Carmack

3.3 stars.

So the book was good but not that good. I was expecting much more, i know that the author is new but still, the cover is pretty and all but the content is basically normal. Too normal.
Here's the description by Goodreads.

Bliss Edwards is about to graduate from college and still has hers. Sick of being the only virgin among her friends, she decides the best way to deal with the problem is to lose it as quickly and simply as possible-- a one-night stand. But her plan turns out to be anything but simple when she freaks out and leaves a gorgeous guy alone and naked in her bed with an excuse that no one with half-a-brain would ever believe. And as if if that weren't embarrassing enough, when she arrives for her first class of her last college semester, she recognizes her new theater professor. She'd left him naked in her bed about 8 hours earlier.

The description is quite alluring. You think cute teacher, forbidden romance and disastrous luck. It involves that but in a very rushed way. I flew trough the book, in two hours i had it read.
Bliss is a very normal, dedicated person that never does anything out of the ordinary so when she meats professor ...(see, i even forgot his name already) Garrick you can see the turn her life is going to turn. And there is where the things start to go down. Everything was like speeding.after that. They say they can't get together but then they do, there's another guy in the middle and then he goes away, then they stay together again and get married. Point. The secondary characters should have been more explored, they could have much more alluring personalities in case the author choose to incorporate  them a bit more.

Don't misunderstand it, I LIKED IT. but i didn't loved it. It's a book that you read when you don't have anything else to read meanwhile.  I believe the author has talent but she has to explore it a bit more.

Devoured by Emily Snow (Devoured 1)

4.5 stars for starters...
Goodreads description:

Sienna Jensen had no plans to return home. But when she discovers hetr grandmother’s  home has been foreclosed, and the new owner has started the eviction process, Sienna has no other choice but go back to Music City. And she comes face to face with the flawed, gorgeous man she never thought she’d see again. The man who now holds the deed to her grandma’s estate.
OMG suspense...

When millionaire rock star Lucas Wolfe (even the name is hot)  finds the outspoken redhead glaring at him from across a courtroom  (uh la la) , he’s both infuriated and intrigued. He still can't get the night Sienna almost spent with him out of his mind, and the chemistry between them is as undeniable as it was two years ago (as usual). He craves Sienna more than ever. And just like everything Lucas hungers for, he’s determined to have her. (uh Bossy)

Now, Lucas will do whatever it takes to lure Sienna into his bed, even if that means making a deal with her: ten days with him, playing by his rules, and he’ll hand over the deed to her grandmother’s home. Though she agrees to the arrangement, Sienna is conflicted. Because of her duty to her family. Because of promises she’s made to herself and a past that still haunts her. And as Lucas’s game of seduction continues, and Sienna is introduced to his dark, erotic world and even darker background, she realizes that at any moment, she could be devoured.

You can tell that during the reading process of they're life's that he wants her,  they both love one another since two years ago when both meat.

So when he threatens to have her gran evicted she has to do something about it. Poor thing that she is, she will have to go work for him for a week and be completely  submissive to him answering to every need and wimp. And he makes it really hard by leading her into understanding her deeper fears and making her confront her ghosts.

His sister and also personal assistance is awesome, her character has so much dynamic it's crazy, as her hair. Her style is unique and though her parents are ministers they rock as well.

Sienna's brother his a tool (just saying) but he gets better trough the book.
You can see a lot of the characters changing in the book and taking in on a new perspective.

This book his amazing. It's the first time i read something from Emily Snow but i will totally keep an eye open for her and keep on reading this series.

Down To You by M.Leighton

3.0 stars.

The scorching tale of one girl, two brothers and a love triangle…that’s not.

(uhh... this teaser is awesome :D)
Olivia Townsend is nothing special. She’s just a girl working her way through college so she can return home to help her father run his business. (in a farm and the father doesn't even need help) She’s determined not to be the second woman in his life to abandon him, even if it means putting her own life on hold. To Olivia, it’s clear what she must do. Plain and simple. Black and white.

But clear becomes complicated when she meets Cash and Nash Davenport. They’re brothers. Twins.

Black and white turns to shades of gray  (fifty shades of grey refference?) when Olivia discovers the boys are hiding something, something that should make her run as far and as fast as she can. But it’s too late to run. Olivia’s already involved. And in love. With both of them.

(The big secret of the book)

Both brothers make her heart tremble. Both brothers set her body on fire.

(Poor thing i feel sorry for her. not)

She wants them both.

(It figures)

And they want her.

(No way? )

Isn't the cover to die for?
So the story. Two twins and a girl. They both fall in love with her and both have very distinct personalities.

Nash is the good hard working boy.

Cash is the Bad boy.

Which one will she choose? Duhh it's obvious
Anyhow, I thought the story was going to be tiring because of the love triangle and it was. But in the end there was a cute spin that if explored more could have one serious story, but it wasn't and it was very rushed in the end. :(

This Is Not a Test by Courtney Summers

It's the end of the world and six students are trapped inside they're school and it takes only one bite to be  a flesh eating monster.
This is not an average zombie book, it's not all full of action and attacks, it's more to see the capability of a person to deal with they're problems.

Sloane that not only six months her world was upside down and nothing stops her now of trying to get rid of her burden and just end her life. Though she wished her death, the people she's stuck with are going to change her mind.

The guy that loved her lost sister.

The guy who she's never gave too much attention but becomes her confident.

Brother and Sister who just recently lost they're parents and want revenge.

And a boy who is nothing but an innocent child and matters to no one

All of the story happens in the school save the last chapter. It's cool the way everything is told by Sloane and you can see the way she's damaged since her sister ran off without her.  She had to stay with an abusive father, who died in the book the good old way, and she hopes that her sister may still be alive and well, though the suicide note she carries in her pocket may be the reason she may not last to see her again.
We have suicides, lots of fighting verbally and physical. The temper is about to get steamier.
If you like to think of the problems, fall for all the characters and learn they're stories at the same time this is the book for you. And yes it does have a bit of action as well!!!

And isn't the cover to die for? So beautiful and well done. If  it's Sloane, the expression of the character is awesomely done.

This book is sweet, innocent, hot and scary.  4.2 stars

Burn for Burn (Burn for Burn 1) by Jenny Han and Siobhan Vivian

I just finish reading this book not five minutes ago and am still overwhelmed  buy the simplicity of the writing that manage to make a swell book (Annie reference).

The book is told by three points of view.

Lillia the cute cheerleader girl who has a charmed life but for the moment that changed her from within. No way will she let the same happen to her little sister.

Kat the misfitted who has a part in the world of drugs who  is tires of the rumors, the insults and the cruel jokes , and does an awesome job fighting with an ex best friend and she's ready to make her pay.

And Mary the former overweight girl now a simple beauty that came to make a guy pay for all that he did to her in the past. She's not the same girl and she's ready to let that show.

It's an awesome light read that will put your head spinning

These three girl are all so very different they are all strong and they all want revenge one one certain tipe of boy or girl.  they never cared much for one another, asides Lillian and Kat who where former friends, but these odd similarities and the need for revenge brought them together in order to form a friendship they praise.
It shows the life of the kids from the rich and  poor type, the ones that take advantage from that and loads of ingenuity. we see guys who hide themselves to be the football star and the slut of a cheerleader  that will do anything to be with him.
The book covers every specif problem and tell the story like it is. the flashbacks really makes us grow fonder of this girls. The vengeance is awesome. let me tell you. The book never has a doll moment and it has all sorts of twists and turn. and the end is so unpredictable.

Alice in Zombieland (White Rabbit Chronicles 1) - Review

The book starts with a killer sentence:

"Had anyone told me that my entire life would change course between one heartbeat and the next, I would have laughed. From blissful to tragic, innocent to ruined? Please. One heartbeat. A blink, a breath, a second, and everything she knew and loved was gone."

And of the back cover:

"I wish I could go back and do a thousand things differently.
I'd tell my sister no.
I'd never beg my mother to talk to my dad.
I'd zip my lips and swallow those hateful words.
Or, barring all of that, I'd hug my sister, my mom and my dad one last time.
I'd tell them I love them.
I wish... Yeah, I wish"

This story is and animated,  zombie filled, action packed awesome chronicle.
The zombies are described as so realistic that i found myself travelling inside Alice in the fights quite often. All the ideas are new and the monsters are not our usual stupid, meat and flesh kind of zombies, they are spirits who can only be killed by other spirits.
So how does our Alice gets to get revenge? By joining someone who has a certain group which can leave they're bodies and successively fight as spirit and kick some serious ass.  Oh yeah.
The Thing that is similar to Alice in wonderland is that we have our Rabbit back. But this time he's giving Alice warnings about when the zombies are coming for her. Cool right?
And if you are into love stories, this one has a serious decent one:

"To survive, she must learn to trust the baddest of the bad boys, Cole Holland. But Cole has secrets of his own, and if Ali isn’t careful, those secrets might just prove to be more dangerous than the zombies…."

Don't worry the book is not only love.  I promise. It may have a certain fill of instant first glance attraction but is so subtle that the book doesn't all resolve itself around it. And let's admit that Cole is awesome.
And even if you do not like the theme of the book, you must read it just due to his characters. They are so compelling and Kat deserves an award to most spectacular personality. And the guys are pretty cute as well.

Wrapping it up. I gave the book 4.5 stars. It was well written and enjoyable. And Gena Showalter is and awesome author.

“You’ll do great,” Cole said.
 “If I don’t…”
“I can shove you out of the car and take over. I’ll be safe, easy as that.”
The joke worked, causing me to chuckle weakly. “Funny.”

“Come in with me,” I said. “Stay.” I wasn’t ready to give her up. “If you don’t have anything else to do, that is.”

“I don’t. You’re sure you want more of me, though? My dad says I can be hard to take in large doses.” -Oh my dear Kat :D
